Hiya, I was replying to the guy who said Tarky was offside, not implying that he was the one that was flagged.

Thought that was obvious, but then I realise who it is I am replying to.
It was obvious why it was offside but you failed to see that so we're evens

How many times in the last 12 months have we lead only for the opposition to change things up, we do nothing, then rat-a-tat-tat we are losing within 10 minutes of the changes from the opposition. That's not down to us fading it's down to us being so bloody predictable. Sometimes you need to take the blinkers off where our management is concerned

I know I've been saying this for over a year now , but i still don't understand why when we're being over run in midfield we don't revert to 4-5-1

How long must we persist with this Wood and Barnes crap, it doesn't work anymore. It was brilliant when it did but it doesn't anymore and before we say anything about scapegoating we saw last season that Wood can score goals.

Under Dyche two things have been very consistent which has contributed to the success.
Good home form and the ability to hold on and be resolute to see out a result.
Without them I think we're destined for the drop.
We look like a newly promoted side at times. Very naive to think we can keep doing the same thing while other teams switch it up.

No it was not obvious, it was contentious. Pickford ran into Chris Wood who was offside, and both were nowhere near the ball. Pickford running into Wood had no bearing on whether Tarky’s header was going in - he was miles away from the ball. This is a DEBATABLE point.

Maybe so, we will find out at the end of the season, but so far Dyche has weathered all the grief slung his way on here and shuts up the whingers time and again.

You've all crawled out of your hiding places now, but if we went on a decent run the majority of you will predictably disappear again.

The Dyche out stuff is nonsense, he does however need to get things back on track with our midfield.

It was and remains an area in need of reinforcements, but in the meantime, whether that’s bringing Cork back in, playing a three at times or something else, I don’t know.

I’m still a long way from being convinced by Brownhill at this level.

Very, very disappointed after such a promising first half. Our form is a major concern, as is our inability to hold a lead - something that was an issue at the back end of last season too.

Dyche seems too set in his ways, and is out thought on a weekly basis at the moment. Surely Barnes' time in the starting line up is at an end? Same old subs, same old time.

Too sloppy tonight and our wingers were reluctant to take anyone on. Poor to watch and as much as I like Lennon he shouldn’t have got on before Cornet at 3-1 down. Going to be a long season.

Absolutely they would.

I can see the wry smile and immediate grab of the phone to unleash their passionate hatred of Sean Dyche from here. Predictably, they will, in their droves, post their usual grovelling ******** in the new year:

“Fair play to Dyche, I’ll hold my hands up he’s sorted it out”

The amount of times those hands have been held up is akin to a paused Mexican wave at this point.

Tonight has totally exposed Dyche's lack of tactical ability.
Playing 4-4-2 irrelevant of whether it is working is just stupidity

The Dyche out brigade hibernate until a loss away at Everton then come raging out. They’ll go back to sleep around April when we are safely entrenched in 15th again.

You’d think after 5/6 years of the same outcome happening they’d learn their lesson, but it was ever thus.
Possibly.

The simple fact is though that what used to be a real strength for us, seeing games out after taking the lead, has become anything but. It crept in towards the end of last season against Southampton, Newcastle and West Ham (all teams we'd fancy ourselves against after getting the first goal) where we went ahead and lost and it's certainly carried over into this season.

Worrying habit for us to have developed and unless we find a way to break it, there's only one way we're going unfortunately.

Dress it up how you like or put your claret tints on but absolute garbage second half and dinosaur tactics by the manager. We can’t defend and lack quality in the final third. Not looking good at all.

I find it strange posters defending the team after they have been royally embarrassed.

That was one of the worst halves of football ever from a Dyche team.

I just watched the disallowed goal again. Pickford is never getting to the ball runs out and touches Wood who's looking the other way. I can understand if you're trying to interfere with play but Wood was literally just standing his ground doing nothing.

Absolutely appalling second half. We made an average side look good. We made two ordinary wingers look world beaters after a hard working first half. We could not string two passes together in the second half. I don't see any option than playing with three midfielders now-its not as if we have anyone to partner Wood so we might as well go 5 in midfield with Cornet going right wide. Otherwise we will just get beat each game

Dyche out is obviously way too extreme but he has loads of questions to answer, loyalty to Barnes, loyalty to Brownhill, loyalty to 4-4-2 even when we are being overrun. Then the subs where we didn’t change anything really, just like for like personnel changes and bar one set piece no real chances afterwards.

Cornet coming on would have shown imagination and bravery. Not Dyche trademarks. We had nothing to lose. Worst case we lose anyway. Best case he acclimatises to the Premier League and leaves the game a hero. We know the lad is quick, direct and can finish. We know our other subs never do anything (last 42 Premier League games not one goal or assist???).

Very, very frustrating after hopes got up.
