Pretty accurate.

And we are allowed to love Dyche and what he has done for the club whilst criticising his current, rather abject performance.

The most worrying stat tonight was how few times we convert a lead to a victory. The only way is down.

Dyche’s game plan was spot on. We just fell back and let Benetez work out to beat us. One of the best manager’s in the world, we simply couldn’t react in time.

Dyche needs to evolve with his team. Worked wonders for us and will do again.

Brownhill couldn’t make anymore challenges he needed help in there Cork for Barnes would have been ideal.

FFS, why are people not allowed to be frustrated that we've gone 1-0 up and fallen apart. Again. Yes Sean Dyche is brilliant, do you really expect after every poor performance you're going to get "oh well, poor game but Sean Dyche is great so yay!"

He’s a good manager but one of the best in the world is really stretching it a bit. He is a well experienced premier league manager, and our manager is every bit as experienced in this league. One learns, the other doesn’t.

Best thing that’s happened to this club in my lifetime, and probably 90% of other posters lifetimes. So we’ve had a bad start, what’s new there? The performances are good, the just rewards haven’t arrived yet but will do.

We’ve danced this tune a billion times on this board and the small minority who for some reason want Dyche sacked (to be replaced by who, exactly?) follow the same pattern every season. Bad start, shout ******** on UTC relentlessly. We then do what’s needed to stay up, they then say “Sorry Sean, I’ll hold my hands up” and go into hiding until the next poor bit of form.

He’ll prove the doubters wrong, he always does.

Yes Dyche has done great things for our team. But I think tonight was a game that showed him he carnt take hold any farther winning Twice now winning 1-0 we carnt sustainable hold on and against teams wish we shod beat easily

Nonsense. Do you not think Cornet will be under enough pressure? Bringing him on at 3-1 makes no sense whatsoever. Lennon was sent on to stop it being an avalanche… and it worked.

I’m a big Dyche fan, but today’s result highlighted (again) his real weakness, which is his in game management.

A change was needed at 1-1, even just to break up the game.

Incredibly, there was no change until 10 minutes after going 1-3 down.

We were getting seriously overrun through the middle. No Plan B, no change of formation.

And at 1-3, he was pictured in deep conversation with Woan. I’m sorry, but it’s too ******* late.

I love SD but he has never looked at a team and picked a team or formation to beat them. This year both Potter and Raffa have alrready either made subs or changed a formation thats led to both beating us. Puts us at a hell of a disadvantage in a very "canny " league

Nail on the head thank heavens someone can see the bigger picture, the reality is in this league we'll have spells were we don't pick up many points, that also applies to several others who will equally struggle.

And all those calling for SD to be fired aren't very quick in suggesting VIABLE replacements are they.

I've seen enough in our 4 games to know we'll survive again, it might not be pretty at times, but if it gets the job done, which is staying in this league, then I'll take it.

Your also spot on, as soon as start picking up a few victories the usual suspects will mysteriously vanish into the ether yet again.

Some valid points there, and this habit of blowing leads is becoming a concern, however if you seriously think we should be beating any teams easily at this level you are in cloud cuckoo land.

Someone must know the stats on how many times in his tenure we've gone down in a match and managed to win.
I can think of Villa last season and then, errrrrmm?
As I've said before, his use (non-use?) of subs is bizarre.

I don't think many people are seriously questioning Dyches position. He's obviously been amazing for us, but it's not realistic to expect people not to criticise poor performances or a lack of tactical nous when it keeps costing us. You wouldn't find many fans in the stadium going "oh well, lost a 1-0 lead again and fell apart. But Dyche will get it right. High five!" When your team loses, it pis*es people off and they criticise elements of bad performance. Nothing wrong with that, it's more normal than maintaining perfect perspective despite any result . Especially 10 minutes after the final whistle.

I hope you're right jedi . For 60 mins tonight we pressed their defenders really well making them go long . As soon as we scored , we dropped off allowing them to pass through the midfield. Is that Sean's instructions or do the players have a mental block ?

What do they write on those pieces of paper they all stand looking at? They could use the same one for each game regardless of the game situation. That’s why he’s never moved beyond us.

It’s ridiculously predictable, rinse repeat type stuff and a complete failure to react what’s going on.

Too many times in the last 10 games or so we’ve seen the same thing happen. Oppotion change it, we don’t, opposition win.

Even his winger for winger sub was tedious. Why not bring the lad on that Everton will know next to nothing about, no, sod that, let’s bring in the lad that spent 3 years playing for them.

I still think he’s a top manager for us and certainly don’t want him to leave. One criticism I have though is our inability to change shape in a game. I’ve seen too many times in recent months us taking the lead and the opposition changing formation to load the central midfield and we just don’t adapt and our 2 in the middle get overrun. Today after taking the lead I’d have taken, a largely ineffective, Barnes off for Cork to match their changes and go with 3 in midfield. If it doesn’t work you’ve still got strikers on the bench to swap it back.

Yep.

Tonight is another example why Dyche won’t move further up the ladder than Burnley, unless he can evidence a serious cup run or two, and/or better in game management.

Dyche is great in so many ways, but there are real flaws also.
