Crikey this could be one of the biggest mullarings in cricket history, I would have thought it would be a walkover with TPC in the opposition ranks.
Back in your box, Bodge. It’s getting late, you’re getting tired and you’re starting to show-off! 🤐

Finally a wicket for Lancashire, Sibley for 57 to Tom Bailey, but Warwickshire building a healthy lead. 173-1 95 ahead.

Century for Yates, he must be on England's radar after the season he's had.

In recent seasons Burnley improve after the cricket season ends.

Lets hope this one is well and truly done with before Saturday

Yes very true, in which case our season will start on Saturday then. :)

Weather permitting this could well be over by Saturday, depends how long Warwickshire choose to bat for before declaring, because it doesn't seem like Lancs are going to bowl them out.

Hard to work up any enthusiasm about this now, can’t be easy for Lancs bowlers and fielders.

Yes this match was lost in that mad 1st hour yesterday alas.

All Lancs can do now is try and at least salvage some pride when we bat again, but it's turning into a chastening end to the season.

You'd think the captains would have got together at tea, and Warwickshire could have agreed to declare and Lancashire could have agreed to be bowled out before the close. Then they could have gone home.

A clatter of wickets after tea, 5 have now fallen in the evening session, sadly Lancs are facing a deficit of nearly 400.

3 for Parky, and you do have to ask why wasn't he bowling earlier in the innings.

150 for Will Rhodes who's still going strong, 455-7 with a few overs remaining tonight.

518 all out, Parkinson wraps up the innings with his 4th wicket, 4-78 he finishes with, 3-80 for Blatherwick, and the bowlers toiled away as best they could in the circumstances, after the batting unit failed to deliver on day 1.

Only the small matter of 440 for Lancashire to make for Warwickshire to bat again.

Well if Lancs can bat through today, the rain might come to their aid, but it's clear that Warwickshire will lift the BWT come what may now.

Yes I saw that as long as both teams bat at least one innings. Then the trophy is awarded to the highest scoring team, rather than it being a shared trophy.

Not much in it really, if we can make 750 by late on tomorrow then stick them back in late on tomorrow and 1 day to bowl them out for 300

So Davies' Lancashire career ends in ignominy. Who calls for a quick run when you are over 400 behind? Sky Sports have just said that Lancashire's greatest defeat was by an innings and 220 runs against the West Indies in 1950. A greater defeat is very much on the cards.

Wells gone for 41, 94-2. Pity about that he and Balderson were ticking along nicely. Partnership of 71, which considering the 1st innings is a vast improvement.

Bohannon on his way for 8, terrible shot. 123-3.

Good knock from Balderson who's reached his 50.

152/4 at tea, Vilas and Croft the not out batsman. Lancs 288 behind.

At least they've shown an element of fight 2nd dig. And really that's all they could do.

Croft gone straight after tea, he made only 3, 158-5, 282 more needed just to make Warwickshire bat again, this might end today if the light holds.

Looked like Croft walked even though replays seem to show he hadn’t hit the ball. Vilas was a very tame dismissal - bad light has stopped play now.

Yes the commentators seemed to think Croft hadn't hit it, TV umpire could have had a decision to make if one was employed at county level.

Balderson and Wells got good cherries, Croft was unlucky, but Bohannon, Davies and Vilas were all tame dismissals I'm afraid.

An awful way to end the season for Lancs, what were Davies and Croft playing at?
Balderson looks promising, can perform with bat and ball.

What could Croft do though? No TV umps in the CC I don't think. If the finger goes up, you're gone.

Balderson has been the only bright note out of this game for Lancs, hard to believe he's still only 20, he turns 21 on 11 October.

Losing the toss didn't help, but you've still got to show more than Lancashire did in their 1st innings.

Despite this disappointing last week or so, it's got to be considered a successful campaign for the red rose as a whole.

The umpire did not give Croft out, he missed the ball by a mile but simply tucked his bat under his arm and walked - strange!

Wood out for 28, 195-7. 245 adrift, we'll do well to limit this to under an innings and 200 defeat.

Crazy that the cricket season is still continuing and today is the 1st of October.

Well at least it wasn’t our biggest defeat since 1950 which looked on the cards yesterday!
