Will give it a go in due course. Loved the Sopranos so going to be interesting as to how it turns out. It's one I'll have to watch by myself as the Mrs is more of a romcom fan!

I believe James Gandolfini's son is playing the young Tony Soprano. I'm looking forward to watching this.

I haven't even finished The Sopranos yet... Do I need to do that before seeing this?

You’re supposed to watch the film before the series.

I watched it last week.

I loved Sopranos and enjoyed the film. About 30 minutes in I did think that if you hadn’t seen the Sopranos you really wouldn’t understand the importance of lots of it.

Why did they make the film 15 years after the series then?

Never watched The Sopranos but I saw an interview with an actual mafia chap who said if any of their colleagues were seeing a psychiatrist they would end up in the trunk of a car along with the psychiatrist.

Sopranos was brilliant. I’ll watch it all again at some point. Coincidentally, Steve Van Zandt who played Silvio Dante I. The Sopranos has just released his autobiography.

Finished it today.

Wow. Great story of Dickie Moltisanti, some great references to the Sopranos and it's hard not to laugh and young Paulie and Sil.

Brilliant Sopranos story but can't believe they didn't make it a TV series. I reckon it could have been better than the Sopranos.

Watched this last night and thought it was very disappointing. Nice to see a lot of references back to The Sopranos, which is my favourite TV production of all time, and the casting was fantastic in the main. But I found the storyline was completely lacking with far too much reliance on presenting and relating the characters with the TV show - which I expect would be totally lost on someone who hasn’t seen it.

I'm on the final season of the Sopranos. Never saw it until last month and I have binged it almost every day since. A fantastic show and at the moment second only to Breaking Bad to me.

Someone said that The Many Saints of Newark (which is Moltisanti In English btw) should have been an 8-10 episode show rather than a two hour movie. Either way I'll look forward to it after I've finished the Sopranos.
