Re: Burnley v Norwich - Player Ratings
His team and tactics over the last 9 years has nothing to do with the board, when we are winning dyche is king when we are crap its the board's fault according to some fans, unbelievable this football is down to Dyche and no one elseAlargeClaret wrote: ↑Sat Oct 02, 2021 9:47 pmUnfortunately the boards money . SD has performed miracles keeping us competitive, especially last season . It’s not so much the players it’s the old board giving him Nothing for 2 years and therefore no building or improvement . We simply have not had the money for a good midfielder .That said playing long ball today against garbage was a disgrace IMO

The rating is daft enough but it's the comment that really elevates this one to stratospherically clueless.

I just don’t agree, I watched the highlights back last night and even though he didn’t have to do much due to how poor they were, nearly every single Norwich attack came due to his positioning. He will get better defensively, his passing etc… is already good enoughquoonbeatz wrote: ↑Sun Oct 03, 2021 9:04 amThe rating is daft enough but it's the comment that really elevates this one to stratospherically clueless.

Re: Burnley v Norwich - Player Ratings
Pope 6 - Not really much to do.
Lowton 5 - Had a spell where literally everything went wrong for him.
Tarks 6 - Steady away
Collins 7 - The silver lining on today’s game.
Taylor 5 - Crossing woeful.
McNeill 5 - reminded me of Jones, with his left foot corkscrewing to avoid using his right.
Westwood 6 - Standard Westy, lump it into the channels and hope.
Brownhill 7 - thought he did really well.
Lennon 4 - Did nothing in his last spell and showed exactly why he’s been playing in a Turkish pub league for the last 12 months.
Vydra 7 - Our best goal threat.
Wood 5 - Out of sorts and showing the form of the first half of last season.
Jay 5 - ineffective.
JBG 6 - Got arguably our best crosses in.
Barnes 6 - Looked up for it but not really enough time.

Pope 6
Lowton 7
Tarky 7
Collins 8 My MOM, worth an extra point for doing it on his debut.
Taylor 6
Lennon 3 His days at this level are (long) past.
Westwood 6
Brownhill 6
McNeil 5
Wood 5
Vydra 6
Jay R 5 - perhaps a year behind Lennon on the down curve?
JBG 6
I'm guessing that Barnes didn't play for long enough to be given a rating? However, as one of those advocating his release/replacement, I would like to say that during today's few minutes, he offered more threat than Wood had.

Re: Burnley v Norwich - Player Ratings
A really disapointing afternoon.
A ref who books 6 players before we are a third of the way through the game. What an idiot Mr Friend is and he ruined the game.
Not a bad tackle in sight except when Vydra nearly had his head taken off!
Having said that, two poor teams on show, very little quality, but we still should have won it.
Pope 7 - Did what he had to do - a couple of good stops and catches. Distribution as poor as ever.
Lowton 6 - He's been good the last few games, but struggled yesterday. He did at least try to get forward.
Tarks 7 - Did pretty well, apart from pulling pack Pukki? to get into Mr Friend's book.
Collins 7 - A good debut. He looks like a good propect. Commanding in the air and pretty good on the ground.
Taylor 6 - Got into some good positions but his delivery was poor.
McNeill 6 - Playing him in the roving central role is just NOT working. Get him out on the wings! A really dreadful miss which summed us up today.
Westwood 6 - Did the hard work, but no creativity. His dead ball delivery seems to have gone off too. Time to get Cork back.
Brownhill 6 - As Westwood, did lots of hard work. Makes the wrong passing decisions and needs to start shooting. Time to get Cork back.
It is not working in midfield - we can't continue to do the same thing week in and week out and expect it to change. Why not play Cork, Westy and Brownhill in midfield? We need to change.
Lennon 5 - One good run at defenders. He should be wide on the right, not floating inside. Not good enough to be starting.
Vydra 6 - Didn't do a lot, apart from getting clattered by Krul and being tripped up.
Wood 5 - Struggled against a back three with little support or service. He needs balls in the channels and just doesn't get them from our lousy midfield.
Jay 5 - Huffed and puffed - see Wood.
JBG 5 - A couple of good crosses, but rarely beats his man.

Re: Burnley v Norwich - Player Ratings
Pope 7 great with his hands, woeful with his feet!
Lowton 7 Offered much more than the hopeless Lennon down the right
Tarkowski 7 Just class
Collins 7 So much potential, looks like a great future captain.
Taylor 5 poor recently
Lennon 3 pathetic and pointless
Westwood 7 Tried to get the ball forward, but far too quickly
Brownhill 7 Still growing, but starting to show more
McNeil 6 tried, but generally failed
Vydra 8 Very lively, gutted he was injured. that was the end of our goal threat
Wood 5 looks a bit lost atm
Rodriguez 6 looked lively
JBG 5 meh
Barnes - 6 looked to get involved, hopefully he starts to play more football rather than throwing himself about all the bloody time!!
