Bought brand new shirt, received someone’s return

Post by MiltonKeynesClaret93 » Thu Oct 07, 2021 10:46 am

Ordered a brand new home shirt from the club shop which arrived today, and it’s come smelling of deodorant and staining on the sleeve. I think I’ve ended up with someone else’s return.

Club shop are happily replacing it with a brand new one, but has anybody else had this happen to them? Curious to see if it’s a one-off.

Also, if you want Premier League patches, don’t get the ones from the club shop, get them off Classic Football Shirts. They sell the player size ones and the difference in how they look is night and day on an adult’s arm.

Best line in Spinal Tap.

"What did he (drummer) die of?"

"He choked on vomit"

"It was actually someone else's vomit"......

Do you expect returns to go in the bin if someone ordered the wrong size?

Would expect a thorough check on return to see if it still qualifies as new, yes.

Tell you what, send me the money for a new Volvo and I'll send you the one in my drive.

I thought all new shirts were in sealed bags. This shouldn’t be happening though.

It's shabby, isn't it. Like buying something new on eBay, only to find out it's been worn, and you've been buying from a dodgy eBay seller.

I always thought people who get the premier league badges attached to the arm are normally fans of clubs who have just been promoted, and the premier league is a novelty.

We are past this

With Covid and less people going to stores to try things on, they probably get hundreds sent back?

The club won't be able to just bin shirts if they are like brand new, just a little tight on the first person to try it on. Any defects they can send them back.

Someone wearing it all day with deodorant shouldn't be sending it back unless faulty.

I expect to get the same as what somebody would get at the club shop, which is a brand new shirt in a sealed bag, not a shirt with stain blots and the smell of Right Guard on it
It's a £45 football shirt, not a £4 Primark crew neck.

It would take a 17 year old junior employee 2 minutes to check returns.

Regardless of who sent it back, in what state.

There has to be a checkpoint so non sellable doesn’t get recycled back into the system.

Im sure you have to have any return professionally cleaned, you can’t just send them straight back out. My brother in law has his own company and has boxes of returns that he can’t just resell.
