If you collect 3 tokens from a paper then Northern Rail are offering day passes for all their services for a tenner or weekend passes.
This is for the whole November.

Went for a day out in York a couple of weeks ago. I think the offer was on Thursdays only but it was £2.00 return for me and the missus from Burnley. The offer seemed to be throughout the Northern Rail network.

There's an offer on now at £1.50 advanced fares involving Leeds and Bradford.

Worth looking into.
