Today's footie 31/10/21
Grezza's Motherwell have a 12PM KO at home to Rangers, who could stretch their lead to 4 points at the top.
Arfield returns to Gerrard's starting XI.
Norwich-Leeds
Villa-West Ham
Complete the Halloween weekend.

I wasn’t certain who I wanted to win the Norwich Leeds game (or draw), but since it’s Leeds I’ve got to go for a Norwich win.

Yes I’m letting Norwich win one because I don’t think they win many more

1-0 Motherwell early doors after a shambles in the Rangers defence.

Re: Today's footie 31/10/21
Can't disagree with that the more teams we keep within touching distance the better, and if we can't finish above Norwich we'll deserve to go down, plus a win for Norwich and Newcastle would slump to the foot of the table which would be hilarious to witness.
West Ham win is a no-brainer for us, and if there isn't a Norwich win in their game, then a draw wouldn't be too bad an outcome for us either, but what we don't want is a Leeds win to ease them away from the bottom 3.

2-1 Rangers they've suddenly turned the game on it's head.

Re: Today's footie 31/10/21
I think Norwich v Leeds will be a draw and that will be OK for us. Bamford still out but Phillips back for Leeds; Gibson not in the squad for Canaries.
I think WHU will get a win at Villa Park, Hammers are playing really well for David Moyes currently and Villa are somewhat on the downslope with 3 losses in a row.

Anything other than a Norwich win sees us back in bottom three. No brainier really.Vino blanco wrote: ↑Sun Oct 31, 2021 12:10 pmI wasn’t certain who I wanted to win the Norwich Leeds game (or draw), but since it’s Leeds I’ve got to go for a Norwich win.

Backed Norwich to win today.
If Norwich do go down, wouldn’t mind seeing a bid for Norman…

Re: Today's footie 31/10/21
Deffo a Norwich win. It keeps us out of the bottom three and it's Leeds
Re: Today's footie 31/10/21
Can't see us finishing lower than these two teams.
Re: Today's footie 31/10/21
Both have looked really poor so far but then again so did we v Norwich.

Re: Today's footie 31/10/21
After a dull first half this has turned into quite the match
Re: Today's footie 31/10/21
Normann in midfield is a good player though, would take him here.
Re: Today's footie 31/10/21
Norwich have some decent individual players with skills and technique but Farke is useless. He hasn’t a clue how to set a team up properly. They really need to pot him and fast.

Don’t believe the media hype, Leeds have been sussed out. They will be in the relegation mix at the end of the season.

Poor bit of fishing.

Re: Today's footie 31/10/21
It was the 'not a prayer' bit at the end which suggests you think Leeds are a long way ahead of us in terms of quality.Jakubclaret wrote: ↑Sun Oct 31, 2021 3:25 pmNot fishing, we’ll see at the end of the season I say Leeds will finish above us you say different? It’s pointless arguing now about it as nobody can be sure.
That's why I thought you were just on the wind up.
Re: Today's footie 31/10/21
There's been some really poor play from both teams. It seems it will all come down to which side makes the fewest mistakes

Yes that's annoying as neither look any great shakes TBH.scouseclaret wrote: ↑Sun Oct 31, 2021 3:26 pmCan’t believe we’ve failed to beat both of these teams
Norwich lose this and already their plight is looking hopeless even this early in the campaign.

In some respects they are far more advanced than us, we don’t need to be better than Leeds we need to find 3 other teams to be better than.

Not the end of the World if Leeds hold on but could be the end of Narrich even at the end of October

Leeds get the points, and it's looking grim for Norwich even though it's only Halloween, you just can't see where their wins are going to come from, certainly not enough to keep them remotely in touch with the rest.

Re: Today's footie 31/10/21
In fairness to Farke they've played 9 PL games combined this season, and neither have been involved in a goal between them.Vegas Claret wrote: ↑Sun Oct 31, 2021 3:58 pmbaffling how Norwich aren't playing Gilmor and Cantwell
Cantwell especially is a surprise as he adapted pretty well the last time they were at this level.

Re: Today's footie 31/10/21
A Norwich supporting mate of mine suggested that Todd Cantwell has had mental health struggles in the past, whether or not that is a reason he’s not featuring I don’t know.
Gilmour probably just isn’t as good as all the hype.

Re: Today's footie 31/10/21
just interesting how they can be so dominant in the Championship with Cantwell and yet struggle at PL level. Maybe Riley has hit the nail on the head as to why Cantwell isn't playing

They don’t have a focal point do they. Pukki is well out of his depth at this level and offers almost nothing.Vegas Claret wrote: ↑Sun Oct 31, 2021 4:31 pmjust interesting how they can be so dominant in the Championship with Cantwell and yet struggle at PL level. Re: Today's footie 31/10/21
Villa Vs Spamers, a draw please for a point out of the system for the long term.
I haven’t ruled out another European place finish for Burnley.
0-1 as I type.
