Re: Daniel’s Farked off
Replacing OGS?
In all seriousness I think he'd do a much better job

Re: Daniel’s Farked off
If that’s true I am genuinely shocked. Teams like Brentford and Villa are in free fall so Norwich still have a chance of avoiding the drop even with Farke in charge.
Re: Daniel’s Farked off
Odd decision.
They’re highly unlikely to survive this season, with or without Farke.

Re: Daniel’s Farked off
Only signed a 4 year deal in the summer and was still popular with most of the fans. Shocked.

Re: Daniel’s Farked off
Similar to warnock given the results a stay of execution would have gone on but go out on a high 2 away results albeit 1 being a draw, both on borrowed time but leaving with head upright on shoulders.

Not impossible.RalphCoatesComb wrote: ↑Sat Nov 06, 2021 9:42 pmThe really odd decision is that he's lasted this long. Delia and her Board have probably been waiting for the right manager to become available.
Bruce to Narwich?

Big Fat Sam heading to Norfolk as we speak

Strange timing
Re: Daniel’s Farked off
He signed a new 4 year contract in the summer. So it’s gonna cost the club big time

Re: Daniel’s Farked off
They absolutely 100% definitely maybe have a replacement lined up, makes zero sense otherwise.
Clubs do like to do these things when international breaks arrive.

Re: Daniel’s Farked off
International break next week so two weeks to get the new man in and to settle. This will all have been planned, the Norwich board would probably have preferred a loss today.

Re: Daniel’s Farked off
No idea why folk think this is a poor decision, he should have gone a few weeks ago. Evident he can’t hack the Pl. A decent appointment will give them a fighting chance at least
Re: Daniel’s Farked off
It’s an odd decision because their sporting director gave the interview below just over a week ago after their heavy loss to Chelsea.

With Delia and Stephen on the bored Daniel was bound to get Fry’d eventually. If Ole gets pocketed soon Micky Phelan may be a outside bet.

I don’t think Stephen Fry has been on the board for some time.elwaclaret wrote: ↑Sun Nov 07, 2021 12:42 pmWith Delia and Stephen on the bored Daniel was bound to get Fry’d eventually. If Ole gets pocketed soon Micky Phelan may be a outside bet.

Quite right, thought he had returned. However he remains a major shareholder and club ambassadorClaretTony wrote: ↑Sun Nov 07, 2021 12:53 pmI don’t think Stephen Fry has been on the board for some time.

Re: Daniel’s Farked off
He might be an ambassador, but he's not a major shareholder, Delia and her husband hold so many there are no other major shareholders.elwaclaret wrote: ↑Sun Nov 07, 2021 1:10 pmQuite right, thought he had returned. However he remains a major shareholder and club ambassador
Re: Daniel’s Farked off
They’ve let go all the back room staff too. Wouldn’t be surprised if they’ve already got someone. If they haven’t, then Dean Smith wouldn’t be a bad option.

Looks like Frank Lampard is going to be their new manager.

Banjo Lampard, Stevie-G and Steady-Eddie; I'm feeling better and better about our chances of surviving another year in the EPL.

Imagine Lampard and Gerrard, the heart of many an England failure being relegated together.

Dean Smith bound for Carrow Road, according to Football Focus.

Re: Daniel’s Farked off
Hmm! a bit of a step down from Villa for him, although I can kind of see their thinking, as he knows how to get teams promoted from the Champ, mind you so did Farke, and they dispensed with him.ElectroClaret wrote: ↑Sat Nov 13, 2021 12:12 pmDean Smith bound for Carrow Road, according to Football Focus.
Probably the best Norwich could do in the circumstances, but I still don't think it'll be enough to save them, as their squad simply lacks the required quality to survive.

Strange to swap a manager that very rarely won a game at this level with one that’s just lost 5 in a row

The most recent managerial sackings/appointments are the most bizarre I can remember.

Re: Daniel’s Farked off
The name does have a certain ring to it but I’m not convinced of your explanation regarding the barn door. I mean his scoring record was exceptional so he obviously wasn’t that wayward with his shooting.

Tuchel looks more from the deliverance mould to me

Desperation !
Re: Daniel’s Farked off
Let’s see how he performs without the massive financial clout he had at Villa
Re: Daniel’s Farked off
Funny how there is always a wee merry-go-round with usually one of several dropping out and the rest exchanging jobs.

Re: Daniel’s Farked off
I think this is a good appointment by Norwich. Smith (similarly to Dyche) much more pragmatic than Farke and won't be a rigid in his approach so might be able to grind more results out.
