Great work.
You'd think at those prices many schools, grassroots clubs and community groups would take up the opportunity to watch international football at a good price and with a decent kick off time.
Who knows, the next big name might be on show.
I'm going on, taking the wife and daughter too.
Gives us something to do as a family with the added bonus of the aforementioned.

You can’t really argue at the priceMACCA wrote: ↑Tue Nov 09, 2021 7:36 amGreat work.

I was going to pay for the kids tickets myself, but as we’re an FA affiliated club we got a further discount as well

I am travelling down to the match --- an excuse for going on the Turf ---why not?
Re: England U21 this Thursday
Quite shocked to see the interest has been quite low for this one, thought the earlier kick off time and cheap prices would have meant a decent crowd on.
Suppose if it was half term, or we had a player or 2 playing it may have appealed to a few more.

I am thinking about going on for the first half with my son - think it might get a little late if stay until the end.
Spoken to a couple of junior footballing sides who are taking their teams.

Good to see that you will be back on the Turf.Ashingtonclaret46 wrote: ↑Tue Nov 09, 2021 12:36 pmI am travelling down to the match --- an excuse for going on the Turf ---why not?
I booked tickets this morning. Only £2.50 for me.
Re: England U21 this Thursday
With the Longside likely to be pretty full and people buying tickets online it could be fun at the turnstiles again.

I got some this afternoon in the Longside Upper. Not much choice in the three centre blocks but enough choice wider.

Just got 2 in the JHU. It’s going to look bad on TV when the cameras are facing an empty Bob Lord stand,

I doubt Burnley fans could care less, it’s an England game

Thought you weren't going t'Turf anymore PTNPadihamThickNeck wrote: ↑Thu Nov 11, 2021 12:13 pmJust got 2 in the JHU. It’s going to look bad on TV when the cameras are facing an empty Bob Lord stand,
Only pulling your leg lad ...
Why will it look bad with cameras facing the Bob Lord stand ... its an under21 game not exactly a box office draw for the masses
We will all be facing the Bob Lord stand ... personally I will be watching the game not pondering why the BL is empty
Re: England U21 this Thursday
Then the ball flies into an empty CFS.PadihamThickNeck wrote: ↑Thu Nov 11, 2021 12:13 pmJust got 2 in the JHU. It’s going to look bad on TV when the cameras are facing an empty Bob Lord stand,
Let's just hope no one does a Dean Marney and hit a shot into the JMU...
The gate should be around 6-7k which I don't think is too bad for an under 21 game.
They probably missed a trick though, by not just opening the bottom 2 tiers, the Bob Lord and the CFS.
It will have looked more full and given the team support from all 4 sides.

Only about 2000 people outside still I see
Re: England U21 this Thursday
They really do need to sort it out. I couldn't attend tonight so i gave the tickets I bought to a mate who is a utd fan and he just sent me the below and said "is it always like this 5mins before kick off? I have been here 25 minutes"
Re: England U21 this Thursday
It’s a joke outside the ground. Been queuing 20 mins to get in and am still miles away from the turnstiles.

Turf Moor looking good for the cameras. Decent crowd for U21 - when you know that Bob Lord isn't open.

Some of these Czechs might be sick of the sight of Anthony Gordon. He scored gainst a few of them during the CEE cup for Everton
Re: England U21 this Thursday
3 of us arrived in good time, now sacked it off to go to the pub as the queues were not moving. An absolute farce. It’s one thing for us missing it, but it’s so unfair on kids missing so much of the game (and 2 goals) when they’ll have been so excited at the prospect of seeing England.
Shambles.
Shambles.

Karabec is no 10 for Czech. Was my shout in the recent upcoming stars we should go for thread or whatever it was.
Can’t get the game over here so how’s he doing?

3-1 Karabec won penalty - or England defender clumsily gave it away and got booked. Karabec straight down middle with keeper diving to his left.CharlieinNewMexico wrote: ↑Thu Nov 11, 2021 7:33 pmKarabec is no 10 for Czech. Why can't people sit in the seat that their ticket is for?
Re: England U21 this Thursday
I have just spied, from my seat in the Longside Upper, a Leeds United flag at the front of the Bob Lord Stand. If anyone on here is in there currently, please seize and burn it ASAP.

Karabec lining up to take fk - but just floated to far post and nothing from it.
3-1 still.
3-1 still.

That’s the one, I’m glad to say- if there were two I’d be forced to run across the pitch and tear one down myself!

All done 3-1.
Nothing much in 2nd half.
Karabec subbed at about 70 mins.
Gordon sky's mom.
