Re: What do you feel to this Norwegian ad?
John Lewis should do this next year, black Santa taking a knee, then getting off with Alan Carr or something as they help some poor folk off a dinghy in Kent. Ideally just as we enter the World Cup break in December. I reckon that would get a week's worth of outrage on here to pass the time.

Not scared of anything, I just find the whole thing unnecessary.Bordeauxclaret wrote: ↑Thu Nov 25, 2021 11:50 amStrange isn’t it. Imagine living your life being scared of trivial things constantly.

Not sure that's an appropriate use of this messageboard. I think some people need a break.Lancasterclaret wrote: ↑Thu Nov 25, 2021 12:46 pmhttps://twitter.com/SpillerOfTea/status ... 9802446850

Re: What do you feel to this Norwegian ad?
I should have put a warning on it
But essentially this entire thread is about a made up bloke and his sexuality, and the idea that people actually get offended by stuff like this continues to be hilarious
But you are right, I probably shouldn't have posted it
Re: What do you feel to this Norwegian ad?
All these things are part of an extremist conspiracy to destroy all western culture.

Meanwhile having just checked out the latest third world occult centre to pop up in Burnley, they want folk to take vows to end their killing and stealing...
Right then, I'll stop.
Right then, I'll stop.
Re: What do you feel to this Norwegian ad?
They are also making demands of folk to stop all sexual activity in other words die off and one more sucker a convert one less indigenous child born in the UK and one more drop of water dries up and their karma is for one less indigenous UK child born, no more Ganges no more water there those folks die off too for a better world of no people and nothing there but flies.

Tbf a stand alone traditional fantasy character for young kids would generally be asexual . Despite Santas generally depicted appearance resembling that of a retired biker/bear like homosexual.

Re: What do you feel to this Norwegian ad?
This question has already been asked but why is Santa kissing a female seen as asexual but him kissing a man is seen as sexual? Unless you see a difference that upsets you between a man and a woman kissing and two men kissing then im not sure how you can have such different takes on what is asexual and what is not asexualAlargeClaret wrote: ↑Thu Nov 25, 2021 2:05 pmTbf a stand alone traditional fantasy character for young kids would generally be asexual . Re: What do you feel to this Norwegian ad?
So Santa kissing a woman is a asexual and kissing a man is sexual ... does this then mean Santa is bisexual ... oh heck I am struggling to keep up here ...Devils_Advocate wrote: ↑Thu Nov 25, 2021 2:30 pmThis question has already been asked but why is Santa kissing a female seen as asexual but him kissing a man is seen as sexual? Re: What do you feel to this Norwegian ad?
Because homosexuality per se ,isn’t “ the norm” and never will be . Let’s say 3-5% are gay . That’s all good and well and let’s face nobody really cares . However it’s the pushing of this being the norm/ the status quo and the subsequent over representation of this section of society in tv that provokes a reaction IMO.Devils_Advocate wrote: ↑Thu Nov 25, 2021 2:30 pmThis question has already been asked but why is Santa kissing a female seen as asexual but him kissing a man is seen as sexual? Its perfectly normal, it always was until Christianity and then Islam decided it wasn't, now their stranglehold has loosened it can be accepted again.AlargeClaret wrote: ↑Thu Nov 25, 2021 3:18 pmBecause homosexuality per se ,isn’t “ the norm” and never will be . It isn't over representation either, just like it isn't when we see more non-white people in TV adverts etc.
We are a multicultural, multi-faith and multi-sexual society, this deserves to be shown on TV.

Something where 3-5% are representative in any sphere of life /nature/society is never and can never be “ the norm “ statisticaly speaking .GodIsADeeJay81 wrote: ↑Thu Nov 25, 2021 3:23 pmIts perfectly normal, it always was until Christianity and then Islam decided it wasn't, now their stranglehold has loosened it can be accepted again.

And if you seriously think that people of colour aren’t over represented in let’s say tv ad’s you’re either fishing, blind or your telly is on the blink . The big corps have had change the balance ,or be called out which can be catastrophic, and it rarely if ever effects sales of brands (certainly in the west anyway ) so was a pretty seamless transition . Though again stats wise ( for that’s what we’re talking ) there’s over rep

They didn’t say it was ‘the norm’. They said it was perfectly normal. Quite different things. Certainly that’s how I took their meaning.AlargeClaret wrote: ↑Thu Nov 25, 2021 3:57 pmSomething where 3-5% are representative in any sphere of life /nature/society is never and can never be “ the norm “ statisticaly speaking .

In 2019 in the UK, 2.9% of people over 16 had declared themselves to be either gay, lesbian or Bi.AlargeClaret wrote: ↑Thu Nov 25, 2021 3:57 pmSomething where 3-5% are representative in any sphere of life /nature/society is never and can never be “ the norm “ statisticaly speaking .

That number was an increase on previous years and it will increase further.
https://www.ons.gov.uk/peoplepopulation ... -in-the-uk
The reason for that is people are slowly becoming more comfortable with acknowledging their sexuality and being able to express it.
Why is it increasing?
Simple, it's becoming accepted as the norm that people aren't just straight, that they aren't feeling pressured to be straight and they're not going to become social pariah's if they aren't straight.
We had Section 28 in the UK that was in place from 1988-2003, courtesy of the Tories, that prevented schools from even discussing homosexuality in lessons.
https://www.bbc.co.uk/bbcthree/article/ ... 863c0b3f30
Now that's been sacked off, society has started gaining a better understanding of sexuality.

Would you be this upset if the advert showed Santa as being left handed as according to you they aren't normal and can never be "the norm"?AlargeClaret wrote: ↑Thu Nov 25, 2021 3:57 pmSomething where 3-5% are representative in any sphere of life /nature/society is never and can never be “ the norm “ statisticaly speaking .

Re: What do you feel to this Norwegian ad?
Well for someone’s who’s managed gay clubs and hotels , I managed New York in the village for 2 yrs and early Manchester Mardi Gras ( when they still called it that) I’ve seen more c0ck , cleaned more jizz , broke up more “ toilet action” and lost some good pals to aids ,than you’ve probs had hot dinners TFC, so with respect let me assure you ,someone being gay is of little consequence to me .TheFamilyCat wrote: ↑Thu Nov 25, 2021 4:07 pmYou certainly seem to care. I think Furries are being marginalized. The next ad should involve Santa and someone dressed as the Easter Bunny going at it.

Re: What do you feel to this Norwegian ad?
It's not too difficult, it's celebrating 50 years of personal choice being recognised in Norway and using, quite cleverly, the widely-perceived spirit of Christmas. That's it.
The fact the usual mouth-foaming, swivelled-eyed loons have got all upset about it is a bonus.
Ho, ho, ho.

Once a year ? Bloody show off.
Re: What do you feel to this Norwegian ad?
If you go 'theartnewspaper' website there's a letter from a group of art scholars saying that there is a conspiracy to undermine the whole of Western culture and that's from established scholars in the arts.
You have noticed yourself and that our 'own media' is the instrument of those who want to do that.
As an art scholar I know from being at the far side of the cultural directive.
I call all of them The Mediatraitors.
You may know some of them locally.
