Ramsey rejects Burnley - but could come back'
Sky Italia transfer guru Gianluca di Marzio tells Sky Sports News:
"One of the other Juventus players, Aaron Ramsey, may come back to the Premier League. He had an official proposal from Burnley, but he said no.
"He wants to play for a more ambitious team, Newcastle have asked for him too before Christmas. We'll see whether anyone can sign him in January.

This one has been discussed on a separate thread (note being a smart-arse). Seems to be coming from Ramsey camp so agent talk trying to draw other clubs attention is most likely. An official approach could be “fancy coming to Burnley” in the Wales dressing room.California Colner wrote: ↑Tue Jan 04, 2022 9:28 pmRamsey rejects Burnley - but could come back'

Ramsay has turned us down but could still return to the Premier League, not return to us. Some strange interpretations.

Milner would be great shout, still got 2/3 yrs in him and along with Phillips at CB a positive move.
Re: January 2022 Burnley Transfer Window Rumours - Links - Discussion
I think Pace will have a long list of potential January signings which has been agreed ‘in principle’ with Dyche. Pace seems to be the sort of optimistic and persuasive personality who’ll try anything however unlikely it might sound.
I’m still expecting at least one pleasant surprise this month.
Dyche to Pace - ‘I’d absolutely love to have HIM here Boss but good luck with that one’.

Milner is definitely a Dyche player but no way Liverpool would let him go yet.Woodleyclaret wrote: ↑Wed Jan 05, 2022 8:53 amMilner would be great shout, still got 2/3 yrs in him and along with Phillips at CB a positive move.

Newcastle will buy there way out of trouble.
We will struggle to attract anyone who is any bit like due to our position in the relegation zone, we really need to have an eye on next season as we don't appear to be awash with dosh

More than likely Burnley. He will be confident of Bournemouth making a quick return to the Premier league and us getting relegatedWoodleyclaret wrote: ↑Wed Jan 05, 2022 12:01 pmHill from Fleetwood on his way to Bournemouth for £1.8 m according to BBC site

And 12 months later those two clubs could swap places again.
Anyway I’m still hopeful that Burnley will survive and maybe Bournemouth may still be in the Championship.

Sadly not a rumour, but building for the future we ought to be looking to sign this lad before his price/value goes through the roof:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Joey_Dawson
He's going to be an exceptional player and is of a personality that SD would approve; SD would've trained/played with his dad and at least one of his uncles so ought to know about the lad.

He probably feels at this moment he can't play at Premier league level and will have more game time in the championshipWoodleyclaret wrote: ↑Wed Jan 05, 2022 12:01 pmHill from Fleetwood on his way to Bournemouth for £1.8 m according to BBC site

Are there any Newcastle players that are likely to be available? They can't keep everyone.
Re: January 2022 Burnley Transfer Window Rumours - Links - Discussion
He's certainly immune from getting yellow cards which would be good.
The number of times he's had a booking but then fails to get a second yellow despite recklessly taking out players is incredible.
Re: January 2022 Burnley Transfer Window Rumours - Links - Discussion
Not sure with Tarky going, Mee 32 and possibly only 12 months left playing first choice CB, and Long OOC too, you'd like to think a real chance if being on the bench at the very least next season, and playing Cup games.
Without the need to relocate either.
I thought him and Dan Neil were nailed on coming here?
They certainly fit the new owners player profile regarding recruitment
Maybe this is the first of Ben Wicks surprises?

Jed Wallace set to sign with Besiktas.

out of contract in the summer so pre contract with Besiktas. They'd probably accept any kind of fee from an English club if we were interestedNewcastleclaret93 wrote: ↑Wed Jan 05, 2022 12:43 pmJed Wallace set to sign with Besiktas.

This is the player I've said we should sign for the past two season's, he plays right wing, puts in a fantastic cross, plenty of assists and he scores regularly
Re: January 2022 Burnley Transfer Window Rumours - Links - Discussion
Good stats over the past 4 and a half season's

Hill nearer first team football at Bournemouth than he would be with us. Especially as they have just sold Cook to Florist.
Re: January 2022 Burnley Transfer Window Rumours - Links - Discussion
Sounds a bit too creative for us, and still only 27.
Give it 3 or 4 years when his next contract is up.

Celtic have just signed 3 Japanese players and Wolves have signed another today. Do we have a scouting network in Japan?

Always thought Jed Wallace would be worth a punt.

Brighton snap up highly rated 18 year old Polish international midfielder Kozlowsky for £8m. Dan Ashworth has done a fine job with recruitment there, a real shame we haven’t had someone similar in place.
Re: January 2022 Burnley Transfer Window Rumours - Links - Discussion
Liverpool willing to let Neco Williams go, would he be worth a punt, knowing Liverpool they probably want 60 million for him
Re: January 2022 Burnley Transfer Window Rumours - Links - Discussion
Agreed , money no object at Villa thoughelwaclaret wrote: ↑Wed Jan 05, 2022 1:27 pmThat has to be a gamble, even for Gerrard, he hasn’t played more than a dozen games a season for the last couple of seasons.

Brighton are also monitoring that striker I mentioned yesterday.
He would cost very little and is in the form of his life

I would be very disappointed if we weighed Dwight in to fund transfers this would be a backward step

I don’t, we cannot afford to be precious, we need strengthening. I’d prefer to keep Dwight but if he needs to go to fund survival, so be it.Woodleyclaret wrote: ↑Wed Jan 05, 2022 3:39 pmI would be very disappointed if we weighed Dwight in to fund transfers this would be a backward step

Progressive, forward thinking clubs, with established scouting networks accept that you sell when the price is high, which then funds replacements and strengthens the squad as a whole. Leicester are a perfect example of that.
We’ve not had any sort of adequate conveyor belt system in place, and as a result we’re in a ludicrous position of selling players that were once worth big money for next to nothing.
Ludicrous.
