What names were being mentioned seem to have gone quiet and now the name on everybody's lips seems to be Andy Carroll, it really does make you wonder, do we have a scouting network, and if so, do they watch anybody. I'm seriously beginning to think not, but if we have one, get your damn fingers out, other clubs seem to find player's, if not for the first 11, good prospects that are not a million miles away. As was mentioned on another thread, who is ready to step up from the u23's that's good enough, it seems no one, yes there's a couple of pretenders but we all know that dyche won't gamble. Cornet looks like a cracking player, but another starting left winger wasn't an urgent priority and it will be interesting to see how he gets on up front when he returns - without Woody keeping the oppositions defenders off his back. In terms of the price Teun Koopmeiners went to Atlanta and he has the making or a world class player. Could have beat Atalanta to his signature, probably not, but his transfer fee of 11m puts the 13.5m transfer fee of Cornet into perspective. Koopmeiners would have been immense for us and he is already proving his quality and worth at Atalanta.

As you said, he’s a starting winger rather than left wing, his best spell at Lyon was on the right, and he’s been great for us up top. You can’t complain at the price though, that fee is as good as any, and you can’t guarantee Koopmeiners would have done nearly as well in the prem for us.

Collins as well, we paid the going rate. Roberts was cheap. Our summer was good - if we’d had summers of that standard for a couple of years previously we wouldn’t be in our current position.

From what CT said the other day we haven't been looking at any strikers, so we have just more or less condemned ourselves haven't we?

Being one of the 3 lowest scoring teams in the PL last season and having 4 strikers all aged around 30 years old obviously didn't start any alarm bells ringing. Given the fact that Barnes hasn't made an appearance for some time should have been another point of concern. If Wood had picked up a long term injury we would still be in this situation. A mess very much of the clubs making.

Well I'd suggest that someone reviews the amount of expenses the club are paying him, because it doesn't seem he or he's staff are going anywhere. But if his budget is sufficient, then its time someone put a bomb up his jacksy, and got him doing something with it, or get some others in who might be able to do better. The situation really is ridiculous !!!
