How do you get a negative NHS test or a NHS covid pass?
Presume proof you're double jabbed is not enough now?

Re: pre register covid for Villa
It's just an arse covering exercise in case they turn anybody away. It's not linked to your covid pass or anything.

The cards at the vaccine centre are no good, you need the pass that you can get from the NHS App and I'd recommend downloading it into your phone wallet should there be no internet access at the ground.

You can also get a letter from NHS confirming you've been double/triple jabbed which should be accepted as proof.
As mentioned above it's those little credit card size light blue appointment cards for the jab that are not accepted.
Proof of negative test is for when you've taken a negative lateral flow test at home and notified NHS online, you then get text confirmation of the result back

I can understand now, why people say it will effect attendances. I've done all they've asked of me, yet I'm needing apps, passes, and stuff off line to continue with my every day business.
I'm garbage with technology, I'm not sure how those older with no clue or no smartphone etc get on.
I've got my receipt card and ID, I'm not sure why this isn't enough

Unbelievable after all the publicity etc, that people still don't know what a Covid pass is, and how to get one. Even this board must have 100s of posts explaining.

So I can just do 1 of those and thst will do?
Obviously the OP or Villa announcement didn't explain that.
I don't watch the news, so I've not much knowledge on what's going on with it all, and all the changes.

The reason the “receipt card” isn’t enough, even with your ID is that they can easily be faked. All that needs to happen is for somebody to have some blank cards and fill them in with correct name, but fake vaccination details

Assume this message is aimed at Villa supporters who will be registered with their club in the same way as we have Clarets Numbers linked to a the season ticket. Just show the C-19 pass from the NHS App which is proof of your vaccination status.

That's what I'd think.... No, if it says negative we just crack on.
We were never informed off school or otherwise to upload anything.
I'll take a picture of the kits, it might not even be the things you're all talking about
Re: pre register covid for Villa
Just download the NHS app to access your NHS Covid pass because you're gonna need it for other purposes

Download the NHS App (not the COVID App) onto your phone
Sign in using your NHS number
You will see 'NHS COVID Pass' select that, choose domestic and it comes up on your phone with the option to download it into your phone wallet.

Re: pre register covid for Villa
To get the proof of negative test, after you've done the test you go to this webpage https://www.gov.uk/report-covid19-result and follow the instructions.
Takes a couple of minutes if you don't have an account. If you set an account up it takes about 30 seconds to register the test result after that.
You then get an email and text message to say the test is negative and you show that.
Re: pre register covid for Villa
Thank you, do you know if that has to be done on my device, or can I get someone to do that for me, and send me the info, or i can screenshot it from a 3rd parties device?ClaretTony wrote: ↑Fri Dec 17, 2021 4:24 pmDownload the NHS App (not the COVID App) onto your phone

Re: pre register covid for Villa
As long as they've signed in with your NHS number - the pass has your name and DOB showing along with a valid until date which is 30 days after the download.

It would be a breach of GDPR for Burnley to release these details

Re: pre register covid for Villa
we don't even have a covid app in America, expecting it in 2045
Re: pre register covid for Villa
I know plenty of people who have done lateral flow tests that haven’t shown the same result as a PCR test. I had to upload photo ID to the app and it took a few hours for them to confirm my ID was ok.For some people this has been instant. I’d suggest anyone who wants this downloaded via the app does it well in advance of the match.
Re: pre register covid for Villa
Also not sure why they expire. You can’t unjab yourself.

Re: pre register covid for Villa
Are you referring to a negative lateral flow test or a vaccination record? If the former, the negative test must be 24/48 hours before the event.
If the latter, I'd guess it's to deal with the fact that the vaccines don't last forever and requirements can/will change, e.g. boosters added. The NHS App allows you to request a new pass whenever required and the new one again is valid for 1 month. It may be that a 4th jab will be required at some time, in addition to the earlier jabs, or even that there's a different type of vaccine required to handle a broader range of variants.
Re: pre register covid for Villa
As above, the expiry of the Covid pass relates to the barcode and data privacy and protection - nothing to do with the vaccine itselfPaul Waine wrote: ↑Fri Dec 17, 2021 7:07 pmAre you referring to a negative lateral flow test or a vaccination record? Hi taio, I have no idea how a "barcode" can expire and I've even less idea why anyone would put a time limit on "data privacy and protection?"
Can you help me understand what you mean?

I downloaded a "pass" to my phone on Tuesday ready for the match on Wednesday. It expired at noon yesterday, so I have tried to download another one and it won't let me. Could end up being a long afternoon in the pub!
Re: pre register covid for Villa
It's definitely the barcode that expires. Suggest you search for the NHS Covid app privacy notice and refer to GDPR if you want to know more detailed information.Paul Waine wrote: ↑Fri Dec 17, 2021 7:15 pmHi taio, I have no idea how a "barcode" can expire and I've even less idea why anyone would put a time limit on "data privacy and protection?"
