Save me a leg. Pay no notice to them, some of us are busy and pick up news late and just want to share. It's ok pal. Enjoy your Christmas and post way.

First of all well done. It’s a great piece. I must quote this though because if you can rectify it then great.

“ Pace was reminded of the Burnley chant 'Lancashire Homes', in which fans sing about their "exceedingly rare" accent. Living in the quaint English hills,”

It’s Lancashire Home* no s on the end. Not a criticism though and merry Christmas

It’s the song though. Just like no nay never should now sing ‘will we play’ instead of ‘til we play’.

No it doesn’t. It refers to the Turf being our collective home.

If ‘exceedingly rare’ is supposed to be a broad East Lancs accent surely it should be sung /pronounced ‘exceedingly rerr’. No??

You'll never walk alone had nothing to do with Liverpool or Everton. If you sing something with enough passion and identify enough with the words - you own it.

Surely, if theres more than one of us singing it, and we dont all live in the one house,

It would be Lancashire Homes…….. No?

It was a good read but let’s not kid ourselves. The only reason ALK own is and not another Premier League team is because of how the takeover was structured.

They can bleat on about loving the underdog status as much as they like but they couldn’t afford to ‘buy’ any other team in the division.

I'm sceptical of certain aspects but remain supportive of ALK because I quite like Pace and they ultimately deserve a fair chance. It won't stop me asking questions or disagreeing with certain policies like the ticket price hike.

It’s not really a very good piece, too wordy and reverential, but I can see you have some raw materials to do better. A dispassionate subject would maybe have helped.

Good luck with your career.

They couldn't afford to buy us, outright, hence how the deal was structured

And Garlick did not come up with the idea of the buyout structure, that was down to Pace and his mates

Hope they do well but just don't trust the guy

Congratulations on obtaining your scoop. I hope it is the first of many for you.
On reading it I gained the impression that it took on the air of a camouflaged sales pitch. Is it not around this time that all outstanding debt associated with the share acquisition on takeover has to be finalised and settled? Also how is the settlement offer for minor shareholders progressing?

It's whistling in the dark to keep spirits up.

If the tide doesn't turn in the next few games I'd think our time at the top 2 tables is coming to an end.

I really want to be wrong here.
