Someone gave Lennon a 4. Madness I tell thee.tarkys_ears wrote: ↑Fri Dec 31, 2021 12:22 amAs long as people keep voting like this we'll end up with the squad we have, led by the manager we have.
Re: Manchester United v Burnley - Player Ratings
Hennessey - 8- made some fantastic saves and at no fault for the goals, his distribution meant we held on to the ball better too.
Lowton - 6 - some incisive passing but his error for the second goal was poor.
Tarks - 7 - good as usual
Mee - 7 - unfortunate for the goal.
Taylor - 6 - defends well but needs to do more going forward IMO. His final ball is so poor from a team who relies on their FB to provide width, must start crossing more from deep rather than trying to take the ball to the byline each time.
JBG - 5 - slow and predictable, must be so easy to defend against.
Cork - 5 - bullied by Mctominay
Westwood- 6 - some incisive forward passing but also some sloppy play.
McNeil - 6 - needs to go back to what made him such a threat when he first broke into the team. Yes he is technically good and wants to be a number 10, but at his most effective in terms
of goals/assists he was a old school winger, hugging the touch line and crossing fabulous balls in for Wood. Needs to go back to basics.
Lennon - 8 - best game he’s had for us, has a future at number 10. This position allowed him to pick up the ball in space and drive at their defence with his pace, out wide he can’t do
that as he often receives the ball to his feet.
Wood - 5 - needs to do far more in general play
Subs
Stephen’s - 7 - our only midfielder who looked to play incisive passes on the floor through midfield. Worth a start against Leeds.
Vydra - 4 - couldn’t finish his dinner.
Lowton - 6 - some incisive passing but his error for the second goal was poor.
Tarks - 7 - good as usual
Mee - 7 - unfortunate for the goal.

Re: Manchester United v Burnley - Player Ratings
And McNeil an 8 which = "very good" he played a major part in the "game over" goal.
If that's a very good performance from him, I pray I never pay to see him have a mare.
I'm sure some posters mark on name alone, either that or they don't watch the games.
Re: Manchester United v Burnley - Player Ratings
Your hate for McNeil has become as clear as NewcastleClarets for Brownhill
Re: Manchester United v Burnley - Player Ratings
Don't hate him, just rate him how he plays, many others marked him around the 5 and 6 mark, some even as low as a 4, so my 5 is in line with his display, far more than the 8s a couple gave him...
I just won't be blinded by the fact he came through the academy of sorts.
Struggled again tonight with the simple task of putting the ball in the box, or "creating" which is his primary role.
We won't go into his contribution to their goal...

Thought we were going to get a good tonking but thankfully kept the score line low, that besides the performance of Lennon, McNeil and Hennessy was the only positive to take.

Vydra as had plenty of opportunity to prove his worth but as failed miserably. He is a championship striker and out of his depth at this level

Re: Manchester United v Burnley - Player Ratings
Letting in 3 goals and still an average rating of 8? Must have stopped it from being a cricket score!
Re: Manchester United v Burnley - Player Ratings
His best save still ended up with them scoring.superdimitri wrote: ↑Sat Jan 01, 2022 3:02 pmLetting in 3 goals and still an average rating of 8? Must have stopped it from being a cricket score!
