NYD footy
Yes believe or not there is actually some action today.
Arsenal-City 0-0, though Arsenal think they should have had a pen.
Cancelo starts despite his domestic incident recently.

Arsenal 1 nil up Saka and well deserved. The game is very similar to ours against Norwich, end to end flowing, skill full football.

Stuart Atwell having a comical game - even stopping to applaud a City tackle at one point
Re: NYD footy
City been poor, they'll still grind Arsenal down and win 3-1

1-0 Arsenal at HT.
Re: NYD footy
A good game so far.
Re: NYD footy
Stone wall penalty, no idea what Arsenal are upset about?
Re: NYD footy
Definitely a foul but if he doesn't dive for it, it's never given.

Re: NYD footy
Kneed him, then pulled his shirt, definitely a pen. One apiece, Arsenal miss a sitter, Gabriel sent off for second yellow, Arsenal falling apart. What a shame.
Re: NYD footy
Arsenal down to 10. What a crazy few minutes.
Re: NYD footy
I think we would feel aggrieved if that was given against us. And now why is the City player now holding his face? The game has had it.

Re: NYD footy
I'm sure, and the answer is a big fat NO.
Our last pen was at Anfield, almost a year ago, so it's fair to say we are due one.
Arsenal starting the year as they mean to go on, yet another sending off.

Re: NYD footy
It was the kind of penalty we never get, but City do.
Re: NYD footy
Of course we wouldn’t have got the penalty. If I was the Arsenal player I could have argued that I was holding his shirt to pull the diving cheat back up. I don’t like Arsenal at all but football has seriously had it if players are “winning” penalties like this.
I don’t like it when the commentary team and pundits say a player “won” a penalty. In the old days players were brought down by a badly timed tackle or the defending team blatantly handballed inside the box to concede a penalty. Winning a penalty almost implies conning the officials.

Re: NYD footy
Funny how you think penalties are given according to what team you play for. It’s nonsense.

Re: NYD footy
Don't be like that about poor Arsenal. Their fans are the most balanced in the country. Not at all deserving of their moniker of "soft Southern whinging tw*ts"

Re: NYD footy
Sick to the back teeth of Keown and MacMananman banging on at the ref. VAR worked perfectly.
Those on here calling it a dive haven’t a clue. From behind the goal camera you can see Silvas leg buckle as it hits Xhakas leg.
