Out of cup
Third Botton
Losing support
2 home wins in 2021
And a Chairman who seems to have no money and no ideas
And a manager who has lost the plot

Other than that, same team and formation for next game

Do you get the feeling Tony that we are at THE crossroads and some big decisions are being considered regarding the management team?
I'm pretty sure he won't be consulted

I really don’t care about going out of the cup. It’s the performance. We could have won 1-0 and I would still feel the same

Another loss from a winning position - how many is that this season?

Changing the starting XI feels more like deckchair rearranging every week. I'm not convinced there is a winning XI in there to be found.
I'd settle for an XI that plays with a bit of passion, composure and commitment, the winning would be a bonus.

Nope, it was exactly as expected. The majority of fans saw it coming and gave it a miss.
Yes it was and had nothing to do with us playing an FA Cup tie

Let's get things into perspective this was no FA Cup "shock" or "upset".

A team rooted in the bottom 3 in the PL and in shocking form with just a single win in the PL this season, has been beaten by a side sitting in 6th place in the Championship with 11 league wins and in good current form.

Bitterly disappointing yes but a Cup upset no.
We're not allowed to compare ourselves to teams from other divisions after that form table upset people who don't understand form tables.

Managerial staff out thought like against Brighton, immediate impact from subs while we sit on our hands.

Not a clue to be honest but I’ve said all season that the performances had been better than the results. And I know when that happens, the performances then drop and you start deserving the results you are getting.

I don’t know how bad the illness/injury situation is at the club but it appears we were poor today again. At Leeds the performance was lacking in so many areas.
All I will say is Tony is the body language of that shower in the immediate aftermath of their winning goal was utterly contemptible. Not one player trying to rev the team up, not one player pointing or shouting, all with their collective heads bowed simply walking away from goal absolutely silent.

An utter joke

Problem is we have no subs who can make any impact on a game

In fact we don't have any starters who can make an impact on a game

A left back doesn't make the same mistake Lowton did, Dodgson was sat on the bench, he's not old enough to qualify for a starting spot apparently.

Its not just being knocked out of the Cup, but right now the confidence will have been drained from the team. Meanwhile confidence for Watford and Newcastle will be raised. These two clubs will be treating us as certs alongside Norwich

Totally agree, he (SD) has allowed this to happen. Just to pick Wood as an example, quite shocking all season but still on the team sheet every week...sends out all the wrong signals.

Injuries/ illnesses can’t have been to prohibitive other wise game would have been postponed. Also from what I am
Reading Huddersfield had 7 first team regulars not in starting XI
You obviously have a greater insight than I have regarding the current health/injury situation at Burnley

I was a massive SD fan but, sadly, I fear the future with this regime. Gutless, clueless and embarrassing. This season is done, I'm just hoping for 1 more point to beat Derby's record. However, I'm not convinced we'll get it.

That's how it was at Leeds -it's how it was in those early months of Dyche. It really doesn't help when you have so many players coming out of contract and not knowing what their futures are.

Merson has just said on soccer saturday words to the effect that this result could relegate Burnley. He felt Watford had more in them to finish above Burnley after such a defeat by Huddersfield..

They’ll be as nervous as hell for leicester and Watford games……..even if we get our noses in front, we”ll let both teams come on to us as we defend deeper and deeper ………and we all know what happens then……..but for these next two games, the fans can play a massive part and we have to be, just have to be behind the lads!!!

Have a beer, forget about today and “rest up” ready for next Saturday!

its the cup, hardly anyone cares. the competition has been a joke for years now, they have been flogging a dead horse with this for ages, but we all know many teams aren't interested.

Ran out of steam really against a younger side who brought on their full sub compliment. The sub of Wood was utterly perplexing though.

I really don't want to gi down though for all those berks talking about how the Championship is better just rerun this game in Your heads as this will be it week I week out for a year

Absolutely spot on. I’m hoping Mr Pace and Dyche will speak together next week about this situation and somehow try and resolve it for the better.

No confidence, fight or passion. Never seen a Dyche team that just accepts defeat like that. That team has gone, totally lost whatever 'edge' we once had. No way we are staying up. Pretty pathetic. Feels like the end of something and a need to rebuild with younger hungry players. Bring back football that lifts the spirits and is enjoyable to watch not this soul destroying, garbage that is barely tolerable even if we win.

Another conceded from a corner to add to the mistake for the first by Lowton. But we deserved nothing. We were ponderous - slow - , had no creativity, and lack leadership on the pitch. Our close passing was dreadful.

I'm at the point where I hope we do get relegated. We'll really struggle to keep up with this season's standard never mind catch up with next season's. We were always going to get relegated at some point, but it hurts that we are going down without a fight. It's all very sad.

Only way to resolve this situation is to give them all new contracts - happy players means they will perform so much better ;)

On the other hand, why not tell them now that they are not being retained - that will certainly help with morale :?

This is a group of highly paid people who will never have to work again if that's their choice

I'll be hearing next that they can't put in the desired effort because they are too busy worrying where their next meal is going to come from

Brighton, Everton and today are surprisingly our only losses when taking the lead this season, however we have drawn several games when ahead, including often conceding late goals. something which rarely happened in previous seasons.

I am and I will almost certainly remain a Dyche "in" person, but stuff like this really, really doesn't help. That substitution was (imo) instrumental in our utterly appalling second half showing.

That will have been Dyche's decision. He spoke to the team and Woan on facetime at half time according to a reporter.

Shove Lennon forward & put a young lad on who wants to impress is what ( i think ) the support is craving for.
