Today's footie 22/1
Everton-Villa 1st up, I've no doubt Stevie G will be given a warm welcome by the home support.
Keane dropped to the bench. as is Ings for the visitors.

Forest v Derby on Sky Sports, plus Bristol City v Cardiff an early kick off as well, everything 0-0 so far.

Brilliant move by Derby, Tom Lawrence misses a sitter in a big derby game, sound familiar?

I would take him to be honest, on a cheaper price as well due to Derby's financial troubles, we can still take joy at his past misses though

Brice Samba in the Forest net has a lump the size of a chicken egg popping out of his head after colliding with a Derby player.

More crowd incidents sadly - two players injured because of something thrown on from crowd after Villa scored.

Re: Today's footie 22/1
Villa take lead and Matty Cash and Ramsay struck by bottle(s) thrown from crowd.
No goading going on although they were celebrating gy the corner flag.
Stiff sentences and lifetime bans might help eradicate this.

More drinks bottles like Lowton at Leeds. Time to ban people taking bottles to their seats? Pathetic.ClaretTony wrote: ↑Sat Jan 22, 2022 1:21 pmMore crowd incidents sadly - two players injured because of something thrown on from crowd after Villa scored.
Re: Today's footie 22/1
Lighters, coins and a full bottle of something on the pitch next to both playersClaretTony wrote: ↑Sat Jan 22, 2022 1:21 pmMore crowd incidents sadly - two players injured because of something thrown on from crowd after Villa scored.
Re: Today's footie 22/1
Not condoning it whatsoever but there does seem a bit of ‘inciting’ from some celebrations these days. Cash clearly told the Everton fans to ‘**** off’ when he joined the group to celebrate prior to being hit.ClaretTony wrote: ↑Sat Jan 22, 2022 1:21 pmMore crowd incidents sadly - two players injured because of something thrown on from crowd after Villa scored.

Re: Today's footie 22/1
Let's deduct 10 points from Everton sorry but we're that desperate anything would help
Re: Today's footie 22/1
Maybe players should stop deliberately goading opposition fans when they score?

Forest lead against Derby, Lewis Grabban, 1-0. A few Forest fans spill onto the pitch to celebrate.
Re: Today's footie 22/1
I know that at Turf Moor CCTV cameras monitor the fans, I would assume it would be the same throughout all the PL grounds.
Re: Today's footie 22/1
Lets get in for Keane. He doesn't seem to have settled in there and some of tge fans dont rate him. He was suoerb for us with our style of play ie. no midfield to speak of.
Re: Today's footie 22/1
Oh yes big E. Midlands derby this, across Brian Clough Way.claretburns wrote: ↑Sat Jan 22, 2022 1:38 pmForest lead against Derby, Lewis Grabban, 1-0. A few Forest fans spill onto the pitch to celebrate.

Re: Today's footie 22/1
And maybe fans shouldn’t be chucking objects onto the pitch. It’s a problem that’s getting worse. There was no goading when I saw a Burnley fan throw something onto the pitch at Goodison. This is a worrying problem.
Re: Today's footie 22/1
It doesn't matter what players do, you don't throw anything - full stop.

How few braincells must someone have to see an opposing player make a gesture or express words that automatically makes you think I need to throw something?

Refreshing watching a Championship game when a ref makes a decision and you're not having to wait for VAR to check it.
2-1 Forest with a few minutes left via a penalty.

Maybe opposition players should think twice before scoring goals if they don’t want things thrown at them?

Ravel Morrison sent off for Derby, rightly so, but Samba should be off as well.

2-1 FT
Full scale handbags on the pitch at the end.
That keeper's a bell end.

Morrison should've been sent off in the first minute for having Ravel on the back of his shirt

Is it now time to count Everton in the relegation battle? on recent form you'd have to say yes it is.

.....and it's a 'yes' to you, too, Tiger76. Thought Everton would get something from today with Big Dunc in charge. If they're not getting anything today seems like it's a bigger job to sort Everton out and think they are in the relegation battle......which is good

Anything which keeps more teams involved the better for us, and this isn't a short term blip from Everton, they've struggled for a few months now.Goddy wrote: ↑Sat Jan 22, 2022 2:55 pm.....and it's a 'yes' to you, too, Tiger76. Doubt it will happen, but can you imagine Everton and Newcastle playing in the Championship next season.
Re: Today's footie 22/1
Yes, I feel filthy watching the game and cheering Leeds on, I'll need a bath with bleach after

If Everton were to go down would they be the biggest club to be relegated since football was reinvented in 1992, or are Aston Villa a bigger club?

Everton were a big club when I started watching football and also the wealthiest backed by the Moore’s family.duncandisorderly wrote: ↑Sat Jan 22, 2022 3:13 pmIf Everton were to go down would they be the biggest club to be relegated since football was reinvented in 1992, or are Aston Villa a bigger club?

Man City surely, although that was prior to the dodgy money.duncandisorderly wrote: ↑Sat Jan 22, 2022 3:13 pmIf Everton were to go down would they be the biggest club to be relegated since football was reinvented in 1992, or are Aston Villa a bigger club?
Newcastle and West Ham also, but Everton and Villa are both founding members, and they are generally considered established PL clubs, just shows how tough even the bigger clubs find it to sustain a place at the top table doesn't it.

Man City were barely bigger than us (hyperbole) when they got relegated and I bet Newcastle, West Ham and Leeds combined haven't won anything like Everton or Villa have by themselves.tiger76 wrote: ↑Sat Jan 22, 2022 3:17 pmMan City surely, although that was prior to the dodgy money.
