Worsthorne Brewery pulls it's last pint
Just seen on Twitter that the local brewery is closing down.
Shame as they had a few really nice beers.

Pity, I didn't mind a pint of Chestnut Mare.

Shame, some cracking ales, pity the club couldn't help out and sell some of their beers.

It's a real struggle for a lot of breweries and pubs at the moment. We're on course to break even for January but I know of much bigger places who are getting single figures of customers some days.

I was reading something last month about Spoons ale sales being down by 30%, and of course this will be reflected throughout the industry. Apparently, older drinkers are being more cautious.

Real shame.
The restrictions have been disastrous for hospitality (and awful for the economy in general).

What a shame. Hate to see local businesses like this having to close.

This dry January thing doesn't help matters as though alcohol is the root of all evil.

I feel for the hospitality and retail sectors but at least they have received support. Service sectors have suffered just as much, though their support has been far less because they haven’t been directly told to close.
There’s not much to service if your customer base is shut.

I don't doubt, but I can't see anything online about it - have you a link, Quicken?
I've a mate with links to the brewery and he knows nowt about it.
