Anyone seen the Athletic article about possible spot-fixing at Arsenal. Apparently £310k was staked on an Arsenal player picking up a yellow card at a specific time and the bookie reported it to the regulator.
Surely if proved, this could be pretty serious for Arsenal and certainly the (unnamed) player involved.
Mind you, betting on. An Arsenal player to get booked is never a bad shout…

A lot of talk about Xhaka.
Ramsdale’s booking in 72nd minute for ‘time wasting’ at West Ham should be under the microscope too.

I remember many years ago, early 90’s. Football Focus did a story on Manchester United, interviewing several players, How they would bet on the first play of the game. It was always a throw to the opposition. Utd would kick off and immediately put the ball out. They and the BBC found this ingenious, and just a bit of fun of course.

Makes you wonder how much of this is going on. Any many more Trippiers and Bartons out there?
