Re: West Indies v England T20i
I've said at the start of the Ashes before a ball was bowled Silverwood needs to go and all his unfit coaching team. An absolute shambles of a coac totally unfit for the role.
We should move heaven and earth to persuade Shane Warne to take the role and totally remodel English cricket.

Re: West Indies v England T20
We don't have a very good record in the West Indies.
The pitches aren't very good, so the players moaning about County grounds having poor ones, have no chance.
It's why I think Lara is the best batsman I have seen. To be such an attacking player on such awful surfaces and do it very well defies science and logic.

Re: West Indies v England T20i
Certainly the West Indian teams batting averages are woeful but that appears to have more to do with a lack of batting talent in recent years. Hard to imagine what Greenidge Haynes Kanhai Nurse Butcher Sobers and Worrell would have made of this generation.

I can't believe you omitted Lloyd and Richards from your illustrious list.claretandbluesky wrote: ↑Sun Jan 23, 2022 10:47 amCertainly the West Indian teams batting averages are woeful but that appears to have more to do with a lack of batting talent in recent years. Re: West Indies v England T20i
Forgot the 2nd game was tonight, England vastly improved from yesterday, but still not great, 64-2 after ten, Banton & Vince the men out, Roy and Moeen at the crease, the latter having just been dropped.

Noticed on commentary that Livingstone has been unwell and is still short of match fitness so that explains his absence.

Maybe feeling a little glass half empty at the minute with the cricket, it’s actually not a bad score having to chase over 170 under floodlights

Wow! England hold on to win a thriller by 1 run, although it was relatively comfortable until the final over.

3rd T20 about to start, England win toss and bat first.
Morgan out injured, should be a good game, West Indies have looked in good shape

Good to see the youngsters get blooded, as the core of this side is getting on in years, and sooner or later they will need to be replaced.

Re: West Indies v England T20i
As per several previous comments- difficult to understand how a man as ill as Livingstone seemed to be is playing this evening. He was ill almost as soon as he got out in the middle and hasnt been well for a while- evidently not been able to keep food down and lost weight.
