Thought Weghorst looked promising, certainly better on the deck than Wood and worked considerably harder. Dennis Bergkamp esc touch round the defender was the only quality moment in the game
Weghorst showed enough to suggest he'll prove a good signing, just a pity he couldn't bury that big chance right at the start of the 2nd half, but he did offer more than Wood has for most of the season.

So Dyche thinks we took the game on. We're responding to the challenges. Okay...

No quality in midfield.
I think that has been mentioned once or twice on here.

You need really good midfielders to play 442 well . Players who are comfortable on the ball and can hold it and press forward . We were good with Arfield, Marney and Barton to name a few .

Think that's probably done us.
Lack of investment a couple of years or so before the sale, really has come home to roost now.
We're shrinking every game now.
At least, the ones we're looking to win.
True, but it's compounded by SD who can't seem to improve our player's skill base!... In fact, the players have steadily gotten worse at passing or any attempt at creativity with every passing season!...

... I said a few seasons ago that SD would knock every ounce of flair out of McNeil and I've been proved entirely correct... He's done the same with Jay Rodriguez, hasn't a clue how to utilise Vydra properly and has broken another 2 talented wingers... SD is great with work-horses but hasn't got a clue how to handle thoroughbreds!

He will do exactly the same to Cornet if the poor lad has to spend any time under his stewardship!

Not watched the game sadly, but it doesn't sound what we needed.
I could take a defeat if we'd raised our game and gone for it, but the biggest game of the season and it sounds like we were a no show.
The radio said the conditions were awful, and it doesn't help, especially at the Turf, but we wanted, and needed so much more.

Park it, move on UTC

The only bit of quality from us was when Cornet late in the game cut in and hit a fierce shot with his right forcing a good save

Conditions almost as bad as Blackpool Away a few years ago.

Almost impossible to play anything accurately.

We won't finish bottom but can't see much return from the next two. But you never know.

Can't fault the effort though.

Think they’re the worst conditions I’ve ever watched live. Freezing, driving rain, blowing a gale.

Clapped them off whilst a few around me were booing because the effort was there as you said, despite the conditions being incompatible with football.

There was a corner for them in the 2nd half. On Longside, the corner flag was bent in the wind, towards the goal. On the far side, the ball blew towards the goal, from its spot!

That's how bad the conditions were today.

0 0 hardly surprising.

Well at least in those conditions we didn’t lose then which in a way is actually positive.

Completely agree, I was happy with the point in the end.
