Its our midfield that needs sacking. Who I ask coukd make them play better. All giving away the ball or just losing it. Who could improve them? Front two might gel. 6'6" CF and how many crosses went in? One? Two?

with our budget he perhaps should have sold some players at the top of their value in order to create a transfer kitty.
IMO he has to shoulder some responsibility for our lack of transfer activity, both out and in.
Any PL manager worth his salt should have his wish list of players that would improve his starting 11, and well before the 1 January should have been saying to AP-I want X, Y and Z, rather than fannying about like we have for too many transfer windows chasing shadows then telling everyone how hard the market was. Its not always about money which is a wonderful foil for BFC to hide behind, just like the conditions were tonight

Think the keeper and the 3 centre halves pick themselves :?

He can go for me. Tonight was the final straw against a poor Watford team. Their first clean sheet was inevitable.

The team cannot be strengthened now the window has shut and we can blame Pace/Garlick whoever but we are left to go with what we have. As it stands we are not getting a tune out of this team. Same problems yet again tonight. Changing manager may wake the dressing room up but it certainly can't get worse.

He has lost the dressing room. Not an opinion. Fact.

Yes an now we're talking about trying something different, both should be available next game. You asked 'like what?' to trying something different and I gave an answer. Stop being a t*t and deflecting.

Watford could have won, so on the whole I'm pleased with the result. The conditions were really awful, for both teams of course, and that I think marred the game. My partner watched the second half with me, and thought Burnley were the better side. I think we were too. Our new players look good, and adding threat. Not perfect, Overall, I'm happy.

Sack Dyche?
It's clear that Milltown and Murger weren't around to see John Bond or Martin Buchan in charge, they didn't see the Orient game and they didn't experience the slow rise up the league's in more recent decades. Sack Dyche? Be careful what you wish for.
It’s almost as if a club that had twice been champions of England, once FA cup winners and founder members of the Football League should never have been in the position of relying on a last day win against Orient to retain league status. Just my opinion…

Trying to be objective about tonight. If you listened to Crouch and Keone tonight-you could tell Crouch still has a soft spot for us, however Keone summarised our performance accurately. We have a total lack of quality, particularly in the final third. There is no build up play, creativity, a lack of quality balls coming in from the wings, and totally disjointed as a team
Thars right. No cohesion. But to be fair the two up front today have not played together before. But the service from midfield and lack of crosses was abysmal. Far too slow in mind and body. Not particularly Dyches fault. Cornet got two good efforts in.

We aren’t going to progress under Dyche I’m afraid. You can hold on to nostalgia all you want. The bottom line is, we can’t beat or even score against teams like Watford or Norwich. We are so poor attacking wise. I’ve had enough. I don’t want to start booing the team and creating a scene but the truth is. We are being led by a inexperienced American owner with no clue on how the championship works. He’s backing a over the hill Dinosaur manager. It’s worrying.

Can understand people’s frustrations tonight but sacking SD isn’t the answer.

The best chance we have of staying up is by staying with SD simply because a change of manager at this stage is very very unlikely to be a better option in my view.

The time to part ways with Dyche was before that daft contract was signed. let him take another relegation on his CV ( its almost a given now anyway ) and dispose of him after the Newcastle game. If Pace and the board have anything about them they will be drawing up a list of potential managers now along with players to give us a good tilt at it in the championship next season.

There are so many arguments. For and against. Is it Dyche? Garlick? Rigg? Tactics? Lack of investment?

It’s probably a mixture of all of the above.

Dyche certainly needs to take his fair share of criticism. He’s not above it. He takes the plaudits when things are going well, after all.

I’m ambivalent. I would keep Dyche on the basis that he has already gotten us promoted twice out of the Championship. And that’s dependent on whether he would want to stay.

If he doesn’t and there’s a mutual agreement, then c’est la vie.

I think too many have let the frustration of not beating Watford get the better of them.

The team selected was probably what most of us would have selected bar maybe one or two alternatives. Several though haven't played together before and it showed.

This is by no means a defence of Dyche because I do agree he has his faults but talk of him being sacked after today is misguided.

We've missed a big chance today and while it's another clean sheet , it's also another game gone. I'm happy to let Dyche get on with finding the balance needed to make the best use of Cornet and WW. I hope that means some change to our wide midfielders even if it means a change in formation.

Too late now. The time to do it was before the window so a new man could use that window. It was too difficult a decision for some and too costly possibly. We are stuck with him and this brand of dull predictable football. Attendances will soon drop. I’m convinced some players are getting worse too. Maybe they need some fresh inspiration.

This is absolutely correct, some of them can't wait for the team to fail so they can post yet more criticism of the club.

A certain poster has said on this thread that he won't go to Turf Moor again whilst Dyche is our manager.
Well let's see how often he comes back posting on here after games that he hasn't attended.

If people want to stop going to Burnley games then that's fine, just stop going. No need to come on here telling all and sundry that you aren't going any more. Why do you want everyone to know?
Just do it nice and quietly instead of seeking attention by anouncing..."I'm not going on the Turf on Tuesday to watch us play Man U" or "I'm not going to the Liverpool game on Sunday".

Make your own stand and don't go, but please stop coming on here to tell us because the majority of people who read this message board couldn't care less.

A noticeable lack of bite...no tempo. Too many players waiting for the ball to come to their feet rather than moving to the ball and keeping the tempo up. We play at a very pedestrian pace. The problem is I don't think they have the technical ability to play at a fast pace. They also have a "framework" to keep to...

I can't be bothered reading the full thread, just home now, and that as got to be the worst it's been in our premier league days. And I've never called for dyche to go, but there is no effort no more, even tho we havnt got the quality, so for me dyche needs to go. Thanks Sean for the great times you have given us.

For those still pro-Dyche:
What exactly would it take for you to want to get shut?
I mean, how many home games without a win?
How many p***-poor performances?
How many excuses?
Relegation? - to the Champ? To Div One ?
Come on, tell us what would swing it for you?

I was quite surprised how many people on the bus home were talking about Dyche being sacked.
I'm torn. He has plenty in the bank, but it's been a long while since he has been our manager on merit.

Sack all his coaching staff and bring In a more modern thinking staff is the only thing that will save him.

I just hope it doesn't all turn sour like it did with Mullen.

If you were expecting quality today you're living in cloud cuckoo land.
can't expect what we don't have. I only expected a high tempo and an intensity given our situation in what was absolutely a must win game. Seems some folk are happy with Arteta like excuses from our manager

For all those who want Dyche sacked, do you know just how much it would cost to sack him?
Do you know the exact figure Philip

You said we lacked quality. If you think that you are oblivious to the conditions. Similar to your high tempo comment. Never gonna happen today. It was a grim watch.

The happy clappers will keep the faith..unwaveringly..no matter how bad it gets. I genuinely think they would only turn if we started next season in the Championship and were near the bottom with 6 games to go.
The swell of opinion against him is growing whether they like it or not. I am only recently a convert to the "out" brigade. How long exactly does our form have to be so poor for them to start to worry? This thinking that only Dyche can save us is remarkable and blatantly nonsensical.

They were the perfect conditions for a barnstorming up and at them performance - we didn't get anything remotely close. You carry on making excuses if it makes you feel better. I thought we lacked quality and intensity and that's the reason we yet against failed to win
I think the wind swirling around just made it impossible to predict where the ball would end up.
If we play well and beat manure on Tuesday, all will be forgotten.

They appear to have been perfect conditions for playing the ball on the ground to feet.

Don't know who Philip is but no, I don't know the exact figure but based on his reported £3m per year it would be around £12m. Which we can't afford.

Yes, and if we win every remaining game we'll prob be in Europe.

And pigs might very well fly.
