with our budget he perhaps should have sold some players at the top of their value in order to create a transfer kitty.
IMO he has to shoulder some responsibility for our lack of transfer activity, both out and in.

Any PL manager worth his salt should have his wish list of players that would improve his starting 11, and well before the 1 January should have been saying to AP-I want X, Y and Z, rather than fannying about like we have for too many transfer windows chasing shadows then telling everyone how hard the market was. Watford could have won, so on the whole I'm pleased with the result. The conditions were really awful, for both teams of course, and that I think marred the game. My partner watched the second half with me, and thought Burnley were the better side. I think we were too. Our new players look good, and adding threat. Not perfect, Overall, I'm happy.

It's clear that Milltown and Murger weren't around to see John Bond or Martin Buchan in charge, they didn't see the Orient game and they didn't experience the slow rise up the league's in more recent decades. Sack Dyche? Be careful what you wish for.

It’s almost as if a club that had twice been champions of England, once FA cup winners and founder members of the Football League should never have been in the position of relying on a last day win against Orient to retain league status. Just my opinion…

Trying to be objective about tonight. If you listened to Crouch and Keone tonight-you could tell Crouch still has a soft spot for us, however Keone summarised our performance accurately. We have a total lack of quality, particularly in the final third. There is no build up play, creativity, a lack of quality balls coming in from the wings, and totally disjointed as a team

Thars right. No cohesion. But to be fair the two up front today have not played together before. But the service from midfield and lack of crosses was abysmal. Far too slow in mind and body. Not particularly Dyches fault. Cornet got two good efforts in.

The time to part ways with Dyche was before that daft contract was signed. let him take another relegation on his CV ( its almost a given now anyway ) and dispose of him after the Newcastle game. If Pace and the board have anything about them they will be drawing up a list of potential managers now along with players to give us a good tilt at it in the championship next season.

There are so many arguments. For and against. Is it Dyche? Garlick? Rigg? Tactics? Lack of investment?

It’s probably a mixture of all of the above.

Dyche certainly needs to take his fair share of criticism. He’s not above it. He takes the plaudits when things are going well, after all.

I’m ambivalent. I would keep Dyche on the basis that he has already gotten us promoted twice out of the Championship. And that’s dependent on whether he would want to stay.

If he doesn’t and there’s a mutual agreement, then c’est la vie.

I think too many have let the frustration of not beating Watford get the better of them.

The team selected was probably what most of us would have selected bar maybe one or two alternatives. Several though haven't played together before and it showed.

This is by no means a defence of Dyche because I do agree he has his faults but talk of him being sacked after today is misguided.
