Only the obvious four of Meredith, Mc, Jimmy Robson and Brian Pilkington I'm afraid.

The blokes on the front row are Dyche's main targets for this summer.

Re: Name the Clarets forwards
There will be people better able to help than me but I have seen this picture before somewhere. The five at the front were (possibly) the last remaining survivors from 1921. If I am correct one was Joe Anderson. My Dad used to tell me that he scored a hattrick for Burnley one Christmas day after being helped on to the tram outside a local hostelry earlier that very day full of Christmas spirit!
A few years ago thanks to Up The Clarets I checked the records of hattrick scorers and he didn't score a hattrick on Christmas Day in the League winning season at all but went two better with five! Even more remarkable, no floodlights then so kick off was probably 2pm

Constantly amazes me how Bob Lord always looks the same age no matter how old the photos.

He wears a butchers hat,
When he wears it back to front,
He looks a ....................
I remember that song vividly for some reason.
As for the front row, I couldn't even hazard a guess - my grandad would be able to help no doubt, god bless him.

Here they are in their youth, thirty League Matches unbeaten.
Back Row...Len Smelt, George Halley, Tommy Boyle, Jerry Dawson, Cliff Jones, Billy Watson

Re: Name the Clarets forwards
Fantastic to see a photo featuring both Bob Kelly and Jimmy Mac.....Dad always said that, in terms of skill and ability, there was absolutely nothing between the two of them......Which means that Bob Kelly must have been one hell of a player and one I would have loved to have seen play for us.
Re: Name the Clarets forwards
Great pic Thanks
Re: Name the Clarets forwards
The fob chain on the waist coat of Benny Cross, has his 1st Div championship medal, on it. I first thought it was Tommy Lawton, not Bob Kelly, in the photo, as he looks a lot younger than the other gents.

Re: Name the Clarets forwards
I’d have had to look up who they were but I knew they were members of the 1921 team.

Front row the chap with the round glasses. Is it Arthur Askey ?
Re: Name the Clarets forwards
Both Billy Nesbitt and Eddie Mosscrop were FA Cup winners and League Champions on approximately £5 a week during the season.
Both had full time jobs - Billy Nesbitt worked as a weaver and Eddie Mosscrop a schoolteacher in Southport.
Would love to have met these guys and listened to their stories.
