On recent evidence you wouldn't back Brentford getting many points out of those 3 games, they are well in the dogfight given the amount of games they've already played.
I think they’ll get one point or three against Watford - they’ll lose the other two.

We have to try and nick points in our games in hand. If we beat them at their place their panic stations will be in full swing.

Absolutely cracking result. Done exactly what we had to do. Lennon superb. Weghorst on another level. Brownhill class. Collins done brilliantly. Roberts fantastic.

Brilliant day to be a claret.

We've been playing like that for much of the season, we just weren't getting the results we deserved earlier in the season. We've had a bad patch recently (Leeds and Huddersfield in particular) but we are trying to play football.
I think the difference is that in the last three matches we finally ditched the Dwight on the right inverted winger tosh and went back to playing with two classic wingers pumping in balls to the forwards. Or to put it simply, we went back to doing what worked and what has kept us up every season.

The pressing, movement and link up play of Weghorst has also added a new and productive set of options to our game.

Whoever came up with the goals from midfield and playing with inverted winger nonsense should be thrown in the Calder. The fact that we persisted with it for 18 matches was infuriating and it has given us a harder task than we should have had to face.

Great win, deserved and can't say it hasn't been coming recently. Pleased for Wout, needed to get off the mark and is an excellent addition. 10/10 for all of them. Huge game on Weds, could do with another win. At least we are showing fight.

Lennon looks to have actually got quicker recently. Looks really sharp

In his recent interview in The Times, he said his speed/sprints stats are around the same as when he was 27 28 years old…..so fair play to him for putting the effort in to stay up there

You’ve got a weird obsession with this inverted winger nonsense. JBG has always played on the right, McNeil played on the left 90% of games. Cornet has played on the left if ever out wide. Played the same framework and system as we always have, just missing the details.

Huge 3 points, and well deserved by all outstanding to a man, a special mention for Collins, he plays again, and we keep a clean sheet again.

Only 1 result but hopefully a step for us to build on now.

Agree
We should have always played a RW on the RW.
The fact that Lennon has played so well is a bonus, but if he wasn't, or picked up an injury, then we should draft a youngster in. Round pegs in square holes just weakens us and aids the opposition.
I'd add the Roberts ability to run the overlap, and Lennons ability to graft in defence, works a treat.

Very very good today, Lennon and Brownhill have made a huge difference the last two games, both have noticeably stepped up a gear. Mcneil was much better today, Roberts' best game, Collins oozes quality and Wout is a touch of class we've missed. We are a much better side playing the ball on the ground.

I think you mean Roberts Bosscat, and it was an assist, but that shows exactly what he can offer going forwards.

Could be a good time to face Spurs their recent form is poor, and they've been leaking goals for fun.

Touch wood Cornet is alright. a vital cog in our 1st half showing today which set the tone.

Definitely a day to enjoy, but we need to follow this win up on Wednesday. Still plenty of work to do, but we've at least given ourselves a fighting chance now.

And a few teams will be nervously glancing over their shoulders now after seeing that result.

Exactly. Even just looking at the two I most think should have gone our way would almost certainly ly have us out of the bottom 3.

Pope against Newcastle (he has the ball and as it comes off the Newcastle player it's "played") - 9 times out of 10 that's a free kick to the keeper. Like outcome a draw (Newcastle were awful till they scored and the crowd lifted)

That puts us on 18 and Newcastle on 20.

Penalty against Norwich (at least 1 poss 2) - that is a win and puts us on 20 and Norwich on 17.

That puts us above the bottom 3.

That shows how close we are to getting out of this here. The missed games has put a lot of pressure on us for those games against Leeds and WTford, but today is a huge result. That's 6 points from the last 5 games and we had Arsenal Liverpool and Utd in that patch.
