I can’t see anything regarding Ben and his injury. Although as a team we were not at our best last night I thought we really missed him second half. Just hoping he’ll be okay for Saturday.

Two unnecessary challenges from Daka probably caused the stud marks. Both happened after he'd suffered the original injury.

Now the refs are letting things go more, the CFs are going to get revenge on people like Ben Mee who put themselves about a lot. He's been lucky to get away with a few bookings recently.

No foul for the injury but two poor challenges after that from Daka which will have caused the stud marks. On the basis that Kavanagh couldn't tell a throw in from a spot kick on Tuesday, nothing was ever going to be given.

Given Everton's indignance at this ref and getting an apology from Mike Riley (I think), would it be appropriate for Burnley to put a similar request letter of complaint in?

Whilst I'm not naive enough to think it'll make any difference to us, in particular, the fact that the fans and (from SDs comments) the management team were united in condemnation of Kavanagh's performance, surely more pressure should be brought to bear on this what seems to be, incompetent ref?

Exactly. Unfortunately we don’t have the media knowledge to make a noise like Everton did. There have also been other incidents this season when we should have been screaming from the rooftops. Does this media noise influence the refs - I think the answer is pretty obvious

Yes... that's it. It looked worse on TV. He was pulling his socks down to show the substitutes the damage.

It would be interesting to read what the assessors report had to say from Tuesday night although you do wonder if the “boys club” may apply.

Agree with CT that it was challenges after the initial treatment for an injury that caused the damage. There were one or two other 'naughty' challenges that went unpunished especially one on Charlie Taylor just before half time. All three officials on view were poor but Kavanagh ought not to have been involved after his woeful weekend.

Ben Mee scored the only goal in the Spurs game.

So, Ben's stats are much stronger than Tarks in the month of Feb. Played more minutes, more clean sheets and a goal.

Would agree with this, save him for Brentford, if there's any doubt regarding the Chelsea game.

Agree to a point, but I do think Collins looks more comfortable alongside Mee than Tarks (who tends to concentrate on his own game).

As much as I have been impressed with Collins, and I think he’ll be a great player for us, I actually think he gets shrugged off the ball quite easily. There’s been a few times when he’s played that smaller forwards have given him a nudge and he’s been knocked over. He reminds me a bit of when Keane first broke into the team in that he was very tall and slim. Keane bulked up a lot in his second season, Collins will probably be similar.

You can't say for sure if someone would do anything different but if you re-watch the goal.

JayRod was poor in not trying to block the keepers clearance after being favourite to get there at one point. A rebound could have been a goal for us.

The camera is slow to turn back to show if Vardy was offside but at least 3 Leicester players were and it was a bit of carnage. But the CH Tarky did the right thing forcing Vardy back (he might have took Ben Mee on for pace) but their attacking Midfielder (Maddison)was well forward of Brownhill to knock home.

He might have done better than Tarky for the 2nd as he will have more experience/practice at watching his man and the ball from the left hand side. It's a different body shape/angle.

We had enough players back in position to stop the 2nd. We just let Vardy run off Tarky in between Taylor. It's our style to not man mark so it will happen from time to time.

I wouldn't say Collins has weakened us so far but I agree Tarky is not at his best on the left. But that is Dyche's decision, the camera panned on him shouting to Tarky to switch at the substitution.
