Can't rate as I wasn't at the match today.

But the coverage showed the very worst aspects of modern refereeing.

It's not the decision-making, it's the culture of refereeing. Until we have refs who do NOT want to be the player's bezzies and hug and shake hands in the tunnel we will continue to get this kind of tendentious, unacceptable refereeing.

The only silver lining is that we were so abysmal in our defending today that the referee can bear zero responsibility for the end result.

Did anyone every see the likes of David Ellery, George Courtney or Clive Thomas grinning with players or hugging and shaking player's hands before kick off like a giddy schoolkid wanting autographs?

Until the root culture of refereeing is shaken up and re-established we are cursed to suffer this kind of refereeing.

Appalling
Several Chelsea players dragged and chopped players down with no sanctions
Playacting by Chelsea players got us two players booked
Stonewall penalty for the drag back by Chalobah ignored

The incident where James was off the field whinging and he let them dictate what happened next was as poor as it gets. They were 3-0 up and strolling but that wasn't enough for the numbers ones amongst them. Why was Kante not booked? Looked like he enjoyed being in the company of the visitors but not in Turf Moor. Some appalling attitudes, incompetence and sheer arrogance on display from officials now. We are in a mess but the game itself is corrupt and devoid of any level of decency.

He seemed curiously disinterested and the very epitome of refereeing from the near the centre circle.I don’t think I have seen a top flight referee move so little.
