Kevin Long starting next game?
Put it this way.
There's more chance of Long starting the next game than Cork......

Hugely disappointing. Good job we have twenty days to get it out of our systems. Just not doing the basics. Desperately need to work on our full backs positioning and concentration… but how did Tarks not have his man for the first? We need better from Tarks than he’s shown today… but the whole team needs another shot of confidence.

This will be the game we look back on as the one that seeled our fate, I'm afraid.
Not good enough.
That was Watford at home, for me.
A brief flurry reignited my hope (and our rivals being just as bad), but we’re done now. The whole team has no confidence (again) and the players we are relying on to create and score goals (Weghorst, Cornet and McNeil) are, on current form, not good enough for this level of football.

Looked offside before the red card decision for me, but ofcourse that wasn't even checked. I'm just tired of questioning refereeing decisions week in week out, VAR was supposed to help remove corruption not re-inforce it. Irrespective of that, not good enough today - missed far too many chances. Game should have been dead and buried before they scored their first goal. We go again versus City, but even an optimistic fan like me might start to believe that's the end of our season.

Embarrassing in the end but we actually played alright and probably deserved to win. Created more and better chances than them. We’re just having the worst, most unlucky season I can imagine. Seems to happen every week.

The Erikson cross turned the game. A real touch of quality.
I thought it was a soft sending off for the penatly. The tug by the Brentford defender on Cornet was far more deliberate and much worse but went unpunished.
One of those days. The sides that didn't go down didn't lose to those around them.
I think Dyche got it wrong on a number of decisions today. He has got so many right in his time that I am not complaining about him. We're definitely not the same without Mee in the side.

He has been fit - that;s the thing
If Cork is fit and he can't get in ahead of Westwood the mind boggles, we gave ourselves hope with the wins over Brighton 7 Spurs, now all that effort has been thrown away with this spineless display today, and what's the common theme of the 3 straight defeats, Westwood starting all of them.
Firmly at the manger's door today, a pivotal game and we've apparently been rank rotten again, bar a notable mention for Tarks.

Incredible from Dyche. There just aren't any words for his incompetence this season.

I've been optimistic for weeks. But today has shown that when it really matters against the teams around us, we just don't show up and make it count. I think its all over
I dont think we deserved to lose. But you have to question Dyche. Why so much hoofball? And why take WW off? We looked good when we actually played football. Massive disappointment

Sorry what was unlucky about today? Our poor finishing is not luck. Jay Rod hitting the bar perhaps but that would have been a goal of the season contender. Our best chance came from their mistake.
We haven’t scored a goal in games against Brentford, Norwich, Watford and Newcastle, that’s poor.

Westwood pass distribution is circa 70-80% backwards or sideways his forward balls or launches.. corks distribution is 50-60% sideways are backwards. His go forward balls are more passes than launches.. that 20% more go forward makes all the difference

I'm thinking that because Dyche was a lower league pro and a centre half as well, that he thinks that this is how football should be played ? It's inexplicable that he picked Westwood ahead of Cork

This game is the straw that broke the camels back for me.
Wrong team selection and poor tactics. If Dyche doesn't hold his hands up then I want him gone. He changed a winning team and his decision to leave Cork out is baffling. It's the first time I've really felt this way but the managers reluctance to change personal and tactics now appears to be doing more harm than good and that's just not good enough.

Said it many times-the table wont lie after 38 games. I think we just may be the worst side in the PL at present
Leeds have lost their last 6 with a goal difference of -19. Norwich one point in last 6 with -12 GD.
Poor today including from Dyche.

Moment of Erikssen quality undid us.
If you leave him some space, he’ll deliver.
To be fair we weren’t at the races. Do not understand why an under par Cornet was nog substituted…

In a game you have to win, we turn in that performance. That reeks of playing for a draw.
Utterly, utterly baffling. I cannot understand how we are capable of playing such good high tempo high pressing football, then produce that.
Not as bad as Leeds away, but pretty close.

Did we win games and look decent with Cork? Yes
Did we look a shadow of that team and back to the hopeless hoofing as soon as Westwood came back in? Yes.
Westwood gets the nod. Unfathomable to everyone apart from the one man who decides.

Absolutely - we can have no complaints. The team has done well against the big sides and got stage fright in the crunch games that matter.
