I think our coaches dont know how to handle our better players, particularly the new ones. Cornet & VW seem to have gone backwards

do you get rid now and give someone else a very small glimmer of hope
or keep him for the championship, do we think he can even get us out of the championship playing football of this quality irrespective of who the opposition are
He is not going anywhere. Can’t afford it. Doesn’t deserve it (having kept us here 6 years). Pointless discussion.

I've never understood this. We're doing down, most will accept. So you keep him in the Championship - basic common sense as he knows how to get promoted.
Already showing signs that he can’t fit Weghorst and Cornet into his rigid system. Would rather have a manager that can play to their strengths!

We have more chance of coming up with dyche at the helm than making a change now, it serves no purpose to get rid now. Season is done why incur cost of sacking , most of the players have a salary reduction element in there contract if we get relegated , hopefully as does the manager

Great idea. We're going down, so let's get rid of the manager who's got us promoted from the Championship twice.
I don't get this statement, and seen it from a few! Dyche Says what you win doesn't owe you the next one, he has been shown for what he is, 442 and don't differ from your team no matter how bad it gets.

Collins is an excellent centre half and will only get better, just got his challenge wrong in the end
No, he WAS an excellent centre half... and for some reason, whatever is being done on the training fields, he's regressing like McNeil, like Cornet and Weghorst and Westwood and so on. We have **** players now.

You dissect that performance today and you can clearly see why supporters of all other clubs want us to go down

It’s the players around them. They can’t play with Westwood’s hoofball.

When I saw Westwood was in and not Cork my optimism faded. We were as good as Brentford in a game lacking quality. I like Fyche and he has been great for us but he is so unadventurous and timid in his tactics. The results against the bottom teams have been disastrous.

Think it’s two isn’t it?

Tbh, it didn’t look a red to me. Leaned in to him but not an awful foul. Denial of a goal scoring opportunity debatable given Charlie was covering.
I thought that if its a pen it's not a red given the goal scoring opportu ity isn't denied? Or did they change it back?

But how the tug on Cornet isn't spotted is weird as his run was clearly checked.

This thing about sticking with SD "because he has got us up twice" does not stick with me. For the past season and a half all I have been hearing is "stick with SD because he has kept us up for 6 seasons". Things come to an end I am afraid, and Championship managers will out fox us when we go down, as is looking likely.

Until at least half the season has been played. I'd normally say Christmas - not sure when that is this season with the World Cup.

Dunno, tbh. Seemed a very harsh red to me.

What was the Cornet thing?

Well my pre match summary was pretty accurate it appears when I saw the teamsheet

Bloody Westwood though 🤦🏼‍♂

We've stopped scoring and started conceding with him in the team. He also makes Brownhill and Weghorst much less effective with his continued blind lumps down the channels as if we were still playing with Wood up top

That's my decision made for me. I'm not going to bother watching and I'm off to watch Barlick v Padiham

I'll take the brick bats for this but I honestly couldn't give one

Stubborn, predictable,Dyche unfortunately

Watching replays. Cornet was held when clean thru. Outside the box but clear red but not even a foul. Cornet should have gone down but too honest. The guy wearing the bra made sure that Collins got red. Anybody looking for a straw to clutch well Rovers did there best

Moment of Erikssen quality undid us.

If you leave him some space, he’ll deliver.

To be fair we weren’t at the races. Do not understand why an under par Cornet was nog substituted…

Not looking good now
Pretty much sums up my thinking. However, I would go further. I don't understand why an under par Cornet started ahead of Jay. Pace on the ball and movement maybe, but Wout and Jay compliment each other a lot better. I think part of the reason that Weghorst wasn't as effective today was down to him having Cornet as his partner. They just don't seem to be clicking and we can't afford that. Cornet is still getting pushed off the ball too easily as well.

Not a lot you can do with the Eriksson cross. It was pure quality. However, we had our chances to go one up before that and we didn't take them. We hit on a set up that worked and we seem to be drifting away from it. Injuries have forced some of our choices, but not all of them.

The Collins incident was the turd on top of the **** pile. No excuse for that moment of insanity. Good player, but he still has things to learn.

What looked like a draw ended in disaster. Not good enough.

What an absolute load of tripe. Collins had Toney in his pocket all afternoon up to the point of Ericsson delivering that quality cross. That was the difference. We had what seemed like a dozen corners and lots of opportunities to cross into the box. Sadly the delivery on both was poor.

Pot dyche & offer fat Sam whatever he wants it’s our only lifeline & that’s not guaranteed but more likely top flight next season.

How much did the pay for Cornet and WW ? How much more were they prepared to pay in the window ? So yes they can afford it and raise the money to do it.

If we are being honest we are an embarrassment to the Premier league, league 1 tactics, no flair just dull. Every team that plays us say very much the same. Time for a drastic rethink.

For me we have not looked the same team since the players got on the coach after the Fulham away game and got plastered knowing we had avoided the drop. Barnes will of course remember it well. It sadly has made manager and a number of our ageing players think that we were too good to go down in the future. This season has been a realty check-poor on quality, poor on recruitment, very poor on tactics, and totally deserving of our league position.

Funny how many were on here following Spurs admitting they had been over-reacting. But now refuse to believe it can be put right.
