No issues with losing to a better team especially one as good as Man City but there are ways to lose games, predictably another boring performance. If you are going to sit in and have 18% possession at least do the defensive basics right, track your runners, pick your men up. Two of the poorest goals you’ll see from a defensive point of view, garbage.

Keeper kicks it 80 yards.... that's City's keeper. (Clarets+)

You can't blame Taylor.
Taylor has been woeful this season, absolutely shipping goals down his side all season long.

Might as well go 4-3-3 second half of throw the kids on.

Personally I've not seen him play well yet. He's done ok in some games. If this is Roberts playing well then the posters saying he's the worst right back we've had isn't far away. I'd get your eyes tested if you can't see the space in-between Roberts and his man all game.
As I said, cut the lad some slack.

I think you need to look ahead of him to see why. Taylor is a top defender imo.

We’ve not played too badly

But that’s only because we haven’t had the ball to play with

Who is the worst right back we’ve played in the Premier League?
Never felt the need to categorise our right backs in such a way. Probably Michael Duff when he played there once under Laws.

Tweaks to the team need to be made now not with 20 mins to go. Been listening to Clarets Player and I dont think they have mentioned Westwood more than once-maybe take in off for Rodriguez and either Lennon or McNeil for Cornet

This lot are potential champions league league winners, we just cannot live with that oil bought talent. However we all thought this was a free hit I'm surprised Dyche didn't reinstate Lowton, dropped McNeil and get more youth onto the bench and starting, you need fit legs to track City players sadly we dont have them.
Oh well my pies tasty.

I only ask the question as I struggle to see how Lowton isn’t objectively better (currently)? I have nothing against Roberts and he’s had brief moments of great quality (very good away at Brighton offensively and away at Arsenal defensively) so clearly has ability but the vast amount of his appearances he’s given me kittens.

As I reference, he could, and hopefully will, be very good for us in the Championship.

We have ~10 players out of contract soon, so that’s a given.

No suspicion of that, just taken off at half time. He offered nothing but it’s hard to do much as a winger in a team with 18% possession!

Not just personnel. I've said it before and I'll say it again, we have lost all identity. Everything that made this side succesful, and it was never just the personnel themselves (remember we were a better whole than the sum of our parts), has slowly been lost.

We are pretty clueless aren't we, we can't get the basics right anymore so defend and are useless in attack, we having an air of absolute nothingness about us and it's dire to watch

Worrying that we are so easy to play against nowadays, yes it's City, but we've performed like this throughout the season, with the odd exception.

There’s a malaise that’s deeply embedded within the club that’s been going on for years but so many are in denial which is completely hindering any sort of progress.

Eriksen has transformed Brentford, plus Toney returning from injury has given them a big boost at a critical time.

Small club mentality enabled by small town fans allowed it to come to this.

Forget the billion quid or so dyche has squandered on failed transfers and wages for **** players.

We've got a new training ground though. Seemingly nothing new gets trained there but we have it.

Agree to an extent regarding failed transfers, but it's nowhere near a billion quid.

Also take your point regarding Barnfield, and if we can't compete in the market, then we should be looking to develop our own emerging talent.

Players that aren’t good enough are shoe ins to start. The manager is under no pressure. This is the outcome and it’s been a foregone conclusion all season.
