We played it more on the deck to him with Pieters,Mee and Cork in. 2/3 are injured completely changing the shape of the defence and playstyle, one is for some reason out of favour but none of the self appointed geniuses on here wanted Cork near the team until Westwood's absence forced it. I'd swap Westwood for Cork or Brownhill for McNeil but I think we overall need to get back to that team that beat Brighton and Spurs to get the most out of Weghorst and Brownhill. Not sure one change cuts it.
Things are rarely (can be but rarely) as simple as one swap changing everything- with the exception of attacking swaps for very different styles as that's a significant change in the final third. Football is a team game where multiple absences have knock on effects because not everything is about the obvious on-ball involvement or individual attributes like FIFA. It's why I will always argue that Taylor is better than Pieters but certainly this season we do better with Pieters.
