Maybe if garlick is back in charge, he's looking at a cheaper option than VK. Phil Brown, John Coleman,??

Would absolutely not shock me if the post relegation silence is related to a reallocation of shares and change of control.Les Lawrence wrote: ↑Thu Jun 02, 2022 2:43 pmMaybe if garlick is back in charge, he's looking at a cheaper option than VK. Phil Brown, John Coleman,??

Re: Name the next manager
Maybe the holdup is something to do with letting the dust settle with Mee leaving before VK is appointed.
If VK was appointed last week and then let Mee go this week that, in some fans eyes, is an immediate reason to be negative towards the new manager and board.
By doing it this way some fans, probably the ones that don't like ALK , will still resent the board but accept the new manager.

If that was the case, they would have announced that Mee was leaving a week ago.Nonayforever wrote: ↑Thu Jun 02, 2022 2:58 pmMaybe the holdup is something to do with letting the dust settle with Mee leaving before VK is appointed.

Jesus wept, this thread is embarrassing.
So we’ve not announced Kompany because we are waiting for investment, he hasn’t got a work permit, control of the club is passing back to the previous owners and now it’s to avoid him being blamed for a player who’s hasn’t yet left, leaving.
I’m sure I’ve missed a few other mad calls conspiracy theories.

I think it’s likely to be work permit related more than anything. That’s the only one I’ve listed that isn’t ridiculous and is in some way logical.Nonayforever wrote: ↑Thu Jun 02, 2022 3:05 pmSo what's your conspiracy theory why he hasn't signed ?

How is the club captain a disruptive influence?

There can only be one authoritative voice in the dressing room. It is likely that Ben is likely to be trained in the Dyche way of thinking so ergo his voice may be seen as disruptive to a new manager. Pure speculation of course, but educated guess that it could be a factor. All my own opinion of course

Re: Name the next manager
Agreed. The work permit b@locks is just something that is convenient for the optimistic happy clappers on here. Let’s keep happy clapping down to the lower echelons of the football pyramid. Unless of course we go bust first with these chancers in charge of our famous old football club.RVclaret wrote: ↑Thu Jun 02, 2022 11:04 amOkay so you don't know, you're just going off what you've seen in reports.
That's fine, I've seen the Nixon stuff too and he's sure it's at that stage/
But just to repeat, Conte, Ten Hag and Rangnick, three overseas appointments this season, were announced BEFORE work permits were accepted.
Work permits being accepted as seen as a formality now. With the club in a position where some positivity would be nice, if it was at the same stage as the aforementioned managers / announcements, why would it not already be out there?

Re: Name the next manager
Good article that. Also helps to explain why the board may not be so bothered about getting Ben Mee to sign.
Kompany will have come in and made it clear that he wants to try and lower the average age of the squad.

I can’t see that considering that Ben was instrumental in Dyches departure and then became a part of the management team.Zlatan wrote: ↑Thu Jun 02, 2022 3:57 pmThere can only be one authoritative voice in the dressing room. Re: Name the next manager
Embarrassing? So why have we not appointed him yet? Don’t you think that something is very wrong in that he hasn’t been named as manager yet? It wouldn’t surprise me if he ended up at our near neighbours up the road in those blue and white jester shirts. Probably got more chance of getting them promoted than us.arise_sir_charge wrote: ↑Thu Jun 02, 2022 3:02 pmJesus wept, this thread is embarrassing.

Much as we may dislike it, we're just paying passengers, the captain's up front with the door locked.

The rubbish on here at times. But we all knew when we were relegated that they would come out of the woodwork. So I don't think that we won't have a good manager and a good championship team to kick off the season with.

As they say, you can change your wife or friends but not your football club. I’m not optimistic about the future under the current ownership, however as long as we have a football club I will support them.
Re: Name the next manager
Let’s hope the club are planning a week of positive announcements to fill the fan base with optimism.
New manager, decent team of staff, few new signings, contract extensions to retain some PL experience… all nerves will be settled.

The club now is unrecognisable from our past history. It’s just taking some people longer than others to recognise this.

I am normally the person who's glass half full is a good thing, but today I feel that our glass is half empty and by the time we have any manager in place we will be behind the 8 ball and as I cue the white ball I catch the half empty glass, I hope some one out there can catch it before it hits the floor or even before it falls off the table
