With his current predicament I think not.

Re: Big news coming soon from the Turf (Sean Dyche sacked)
Absolutely gutted for the long term future of the club....!
In some ways, I'm happy for Sean because I think he has escaped an ignominious end with his reputation intact. No one in the football world will think it sensible to sack Sean Dyche.
I suspect it just reflects the reality that VSL/AKL really is Premiership or bust...!

Tough decision to make at any time.
Personally think it is the right decision at the wrong time.
Absolutely loved the guy and what he did for the Club.

I would concur with all of this so no need to make a post of my own.ClaretMov wrote: ↑Fri Apr 15, 2022 10:52 amComing back up is great but back to the same rigid 442 set in stone way's isn't and that's what would happen once we got back if at all
I was one of those that wanted a change and think Dyche has gone stale and it needed freshening up, I think the timing is bonkers and should of come at the end of the season, it's going to be a massive massive summer with a new coaching team and almost a new team needed.
Thank you Sir Dyche for some of the best year's I've ever had being a Claret but all great thing's come to an end
Worrying moment in the clubs history.

Burnley FC was Burnley FC before and will be after Sean Dyche. Some fans need to remember that.AlargeClaret wrote: ↑Fri Apr 15, 2022 11:13 amWords fail me , at this stage of the season as well ?? The man IS Burnley football club .

The integrity and identity of the club is shaken to the core with this.
On a positive, we can atleast recruit a manager with a proven championship promotion record......................Oh wait a minute!!

Crazy decision
Pace and the other nasty clowns should be sacked
Hope we lose 10-0 at WHU

Re: Big news coming soon from the Turf (Sean Dyche sacked)
Suddenly with a new manager bounce, those games look like 8 winnable games. Under Dyche, they didn't look winnable at all, we've not turned up in big games all season long, it wasn't suddenly going to click under Dyche this season, we were doomed. The timing is weird but at least it gives us some hope of a new manager bounce, which is exactly what we need.

Last 2 windows? What about all the other windows when Garlick was in charge?Billyblah wrote: ↑Fri Apr 15, 2022 10:48 amPretty sure we're already down but the club is in that situation due to the failure to properly invest in the team in recent seasons and an apparent struggle to bring in the right players during the last two transfer windows.
I've followed the Clarets since the mid seventies and Dyche has been by far the most successful manager in that period, achieving and sustaining status in the top league where a succession of others have failed.
The alarm bells are ringing where the new owners are concerned but i hope they have a damned good plan.
I feel a new direction was needed but Dyche deserved better than this today. The right time was at the end of the season.

Re: Big news coming soon from the Turf (Sean Dyche sacked)
First off, can we have sin bins for the bizarre references to the religion of the owners? It’s irrelevant, unless we’re ok with religious stereotypes on here now?
Secondly, the timing is a shock and a gamble, but the writing has been on the wall for a while now and there’s little recent evidence that we were about to win 4 or 5 of the last 8 games.
Finally, whether a change was required or not, Sean Dyche has been the best (and most successful) manager we’ve had in my lifetime. His achievements might not be repeated for several decades. He goes with my thanks and best wishes.

Re: Big news coming soon from the Turf (Sean Dyche sacked)
Sean has done a great job over the years. Thank you. You will always be a legend at BFC.
However the performances have been on the slide for the last 3 years and a change was coming. Timing maybe odd but we still have 8 games and a slim chance of staying up. To be honest I am glad he has gone now rather than December with us mid table in the Championship.
Big Sam until the end of the season and Rooney to join over the summer?!

Re: Big news coming soon from the Turf (Sean Dyche sacked)
I can just see Dyche going to a Championship club and taking them up, quite possibly at our expense, next season.
I bet there are a good few Chairmen thinking what a good option he could be for their club.

The irony of those criticising those wanting Dyche out - now they want the demise of the club because of his sacking?
Madness.
Maybe you can all follow Dyche to his next club instead?

Looks like owners see relegation as inevitable and decided it’s time for a change. Sad end to a glorious period for our club. Thank you for everything Sean.

Rather than Boris I think Putin would be more appropriate.tiger76 wrote: ↑Fri Apr 15, 2022 11:11 amDepends who we get in to replace him, if it's a younger more attack minded manager who might be able to promote youth and flair then I can see the logic, but if we appoint someone like BFS then I fail to see where their strategy is heading.
Dyche gone today.
Root gone today.
Now all we need is for Boris to finally go.

Why the hell would someone use this thread as an opportunity to have another go at Westwood. Ffs leave him alone.Cleveleys_claret wrote: ↑Fri Apr 15, 2022 11:18 amHave to say totally shocked. But and a massive but, why not?
I didnt want him next year regardless what division we were in, his presser in the week saying we are no worse off than before the everton game shows how much he has lost his marbles, we are 2 games worse off you idiot.
His constant picking if westwood and inability to find a system to fit in cornet mcneil and wout has been his downfall. Pace recognises there are other systems than 4-4-2 and that Dycheball is stale
Now lets get behind whoever it is in charge on Sunday and who knows...we may now have a chance with a different plan

Re: Big news coming soon from the Turf (Sean Dyche sacked)
Personally think a change was needed, it's gone incredibly stale. Let's go down fighting and give some of our better footballers like McNeil, Cornet and Wieghorst the freedom to play some football.

Does this mean another change of name for the former Prinny Royal public house?
Re: Big news coming soon from the Turf (Sean Dyche sacked)
Right, so they sack Sean Dyche due to the inability of this and the previous Chairman to land players when crucially needed. 6 week transfer windows are not long enough for these amateurs.

Re: Big news coming soon from the Turf (Sean Dyche sacked)
Have to say I am shocked but I suspect something has happened since Sunday to bring things to a head . I doubt the decision was made today even if it was announced today..does anyone have any inside info if Dyche has been around Burnley this week?
Looking forward Burnley have a chance of the "caretaker manager syndrome" where someone from the shadows comes in and wins a few games on the bounce against expectations...think of Jimmy Mullen!
Its over 60 years since my first visit to Turf Moor as a starry eyed kid to watch a Central League game with my Dad, I was too young to go to first team games at that stage. Sean Dyche gave me football highs I never thought I would ever see again especially in the 80s. Lets hope something positive happens
