Garlick has never showed any desire to sack Dyche that I recall

Pace will have been aware of the deterioration of Garlick and Dyche’s relationship, which naturally wasn’t a good position for the club to be in.

We don’t know the reasons for that, but if Pace / Dyche’s relationship was going the same way then Pace may have decided to pull the trigger before it sours to the same extent.
