I agree with 50% of this post Elizabeth. However, I DO support the sacking of Dyche now, wether we stay up or not. IMHO, we wouldn’t have been anywhere near the top 6 in the Championship next season if we go down.
If we go down looking like we are good enough to come back up I think we will all be happy.
There has been too much gloom spread

Agreed. But there will still have to be massive changes. The current “ Dads Army “ would struggle. New legs required.

So much right about what you think but still comes over as slightly patronising
Not meant to be, just trying to be realistic.

Yep totally agree we need new blood in the summer, and definitely younger legs.

This will be the first major test for the incoming manager, can they successfully oversee a radical overhaul, yet still keep us a competitive force regardless of which division we're playing in.

There's some daft comments on here about shacklea and suchlike. As I remember against Norwich McNeil came on drove forward and (sans shackles) put a peach of a cross over to present as big a sitter for a pro as you can present but we missed it.

Saying McNeil suddenly looks a different player now Dyche has gone is bonkers.

I am pleased we have reacted well though - hanging on most of the second half (sounded like on the radio) but really we had a glorious chance to take this to "game management" and ee bleeding it.

That's why we are in the bottom 3. We have done that too often.

I agree with the view that if we can do well over the coming (winnable) games we could put pressure on those above. I've said all along if we get out of the bottom 3 we will stay out. But we need wins

Good result today, OK not a great result BUT with goal difference on our side ..............
Leicester bt Everton
We beat Southampton
Liverpool beat Everton

That half full glass could become FULL.

The effort has always been there, we lack in composure and nous.
A point would have been brilliant, IF we'd beaten Brentford and Norwich, as it is it isn't good enough. We were hanging on, and grateful to Pope, in a game we had to win. There is a lot of positives about us, but it's also obvious why we are going down.
I just hope whoever takes over can get a better tune out of them, but they deserve a pat on the back for not giving up.
That simply isn’t true the efforts been applied selectively by some when the mood takes, taking away inferior quality we wouldn’t be in the mess we are in if everybody was giving all.

The mark of true greatness is consistency, you're just expecting more from players than they are capable of giving.

I expect all the players to give a sh1t for 90 mins & injury time, I’m not asking or expecting people to scale Everest wearing flip flops.
