How long before the usual suspects arrive to tell us its a bad, weak Southampton side and we've been average ;)

As some of us have been saying all along, we can play football. And it's no coincidence that it happens when Cork is in the team.

Part of the shakiness at the start was us trying to pass and move the ball on the deck rather than play percentages. When its not working it can make you look rubbish but once we got our eye in we looked like Brazil

WW had 8 touches in their box in that half alone. He’s averaged 2.3 per game since joining us.

Great time to bag a deserved 2nd, and Collins has an eye for a goal doesn't he, bizarrely although 2-0 up at the break Jackson might be slightly disappointed it's not more.

However it couldn't really have gone much better, and now we just need to ensure we see this out 2nd half, attack seems to be the best form of defence, so more of the please lads 2nd 45.

The aimless hoof into the channel has disappeared. Was Westwood told to do it or was he instructed???

The co-commentator has been awful, constantly talking Burnley down. Had a go at Cornet for not shooting when there's a defender blocking him and he's been on a downer for us all the first half.

Almost as good as the scoreline is the way we're are playing! Proactive, forward thinking and on the deck! Let's keep at it in the second half. Bloody fantastic!!

Brownhill with 2 assists…

But it’s Cork who makes such a difference to our team. Been banging the drum for a while and it’s just so obvious.

Superb half. Some dodgy defending at times from set pieces which isn’t like us but we look dangerous when the ball is on the deck and we’re shifting it quickly.

I was worried at 1-0, apart from the first 10 minutes, it's been great, come on lads, we need the goal difference.

I'd still like Pieters back in for the defensive shape he gives us when we play like this, but Cork massively improves Brownhill and Weghorst. Happened when he came in earlier in the season too.

2 down they will come out chasing second half. I’d get Vydra on for Weghorst and use his pace into the channels to catch them out.

Andy bloody Hinchcliffe strikes again. Infuriating comments all the time. Your right - constantly “Burnley aren’t shooting - that’s what a lack of confidence does…” but when Broja had a shot when the pass was on he went “that’s what happens when you haven’t scored in 8.” What a pillock.

Not disputing that. He's been good (and I think he's had to work extra hard as Cornet still looks a little off the pace again to me). Just talking from a tactics and shape perspective. We've looked a little loose defensively- understandable given how much we're pushing forward- and I think Pieters is criminally underrated.

He has started adding goals and assists to his game in recent months, and he's finally starting to look the attacking midfielder with an eye for goal we signed from Bristol City, and long may his improved form continue.

First attack in the se ond half and we had 4 men in the box for the cross!! It's obviously a new framework, very undychelike.

Needs to be careful, we got lucky, rightly, on the 2nd goal. But the position he is in, could cause a goal to be ruled out for offside.

It does make you wonder doesn’t it… especially if some of the rumours about the sacking are accurate (as in the alleged tapping up from a relegation rival)
