Slightly naughty by the BBC there. I'm fully supportive of progressing our women's team but they know which managerial position everyone is focusing on when they do that headline.

I knew Matt Bee had left but not to join Blackburn, damn traitor
I think Morgan was speaking the other day on SSN about the Dyche sacking. He looks like Wes Morgan, are they related?

That sounds like a promising appointment, judging by the article and his experience.

Did they need one. The team seem to have been flying since Matt Bee left.
If he can improve them from where they are now, it could be another great season for the Ladies next year.

Yup, I thought the same.spt_claret wrote: ↑Fri Apr 22, 2022 1:17 pmSlightly naughty by the BBC there. I'm fully supportive of progressing our women's team but they know which managerial position everyone is focusing on when they do that headline.
And didn't want to have a tiresome clickbait title for the thread on here.
But, getting back to the subject in hand - looks like he's got a decent CV. Obviously I know nothing else about him but hope he does well.
Welcome to burnley, Jonathan!

Re: Jonathan Morgan Appointed Burnley WOMEN'S Manager
Looks a good appointment - vastly experienced and a clear upgrade in that respect - but as others have said, they’re on fire at the moment without a manager.
Re: Jonathan Morgan Appointed Burnley WOMEN'S Manager
Hope he does a great job, Burnley women are on the up.

Re: Jonathan Morgan Appointed Burnley WOMEN'S Manager
brilliant news. When you consider Barcelona women had another 90k + crowd turn up today it's another long term revenue potential for us (albeit not that level)

Re: Jonathan Morgan Appointed Burnley WOMEN'S Manager
in his interview he said the club and him had different visions so he chose to leave/mutual parting of the ways. I suspect Pace wants to quite literally pick up the pace and Mee wasn't up for being told what to do

Re: Jonathan Morgan Appointed Burnley WOMEN'S Manager
Here’s to the club making an announcement about a new manager for the men’s team; even if it’s just:
“We’ve conducted interviews with our shortlisted candidates and are awaiting confirmation of which division we’ll be playing in next season before making our final choice. All of our shortlisted candidates are happy with this approach and we look forward to announcing our new manager shortly after the end of the season.”
Y’know….open and honest, well as much is possible and practicable, discussion with the fan base. It’s not much to ask is it?

Re: Jonathan Morgan Appointed Burnley WOMEN'S Manager
Oh dear. Just seen this. I'm always nervous about the Os and As in the name Jonathan after discovering I'd been spelling one of my best mate's name incorrectly for many years.
So I switched from 'Jonathon' to 'Jonathan' only to discover that some people do actually spell it that way. I nearly repeated the typo in this post too. Maybe it's just a typing thing but for clarity it wasn't an attempt at any lame joke.
