Pope 9 - another fine display of shot stopping and his distribution has stepped up massively
Roberts 9 - very good again, rumour has it he’s still running up and down the right flank now
Collins 9 - it’s becoming a cliche but how is he only 20?
Tarks 9 - part of a defence that limited Wolves to almost nothing
Taylor 9 - his willingness to drive with the ball is really helpful
McNeil 9 - loving him out on the right, excellent ball through to WW for the goal
Cork 7 - bit off the pace in the first half but very strong second
Brownhill 9*- I haven’t checked but I reckon his distance covered will be up there as his highest this season, was everywhere
Jay 5 - not involved
Weghorst 8 - poor first but very good second, led the line extremely well and got a fine assist
Vydra 7 - extra couple of points for a very good finish and I thought his work ethic was incredible, despite not much else coming off for him

Barnes 7 - decent cameo I felt, got us higher up the pitch at times

Dwight 8 *
Cork 9 second half he was magnificent, reminded me of a few of Barton’s performance in big games in the 23 uneaten run, in terms of standing to be counted and leading when we needed him to
Brownhill 8 *
Vydra 7
Wout 8

Brilliant and the two I’ve * I could easily have given a 9 to as well.

I thought Wolves were the better team until we scored, then we went up a gear. Some of our passing and ball control was awful. I thought it was daft playing Dwight on the right, especially as Jay was having a stinker on the left.
That said we dug deep, never gave up, and it's a massive 3 pts.

Thought we handled them well first half, but clearly not as well as we'd like to, but we were brilliant second half, took the chance and then never really gave them a way back into it

Again, hard to find fault with any of them, and the willingness to work for the result gives us a real chance of staying up now

Pope - 8 - Truly back to his very best

Roberts - 8 - another terrific performance
Collins - 8 - Getting better every game
Tarkowski - 8 - outstanding again
Taylor - 8 - stuck to it against a difficult opponent

Rodriguez - 6 - didn't work on the right
Cork - 9* - thought he was superb. Talk about standing up to be counted when needed.
Brownhill - 7 - much better second half and ran himself into the ground
McNeil - 8 - he's back. What a ball into Wout for the goal

Weghorst - 8 - not everything came off but the pull back for the goal and his work rate were immense
Vydra - 6 - he looked miles off but a cool finish when needed

Barnes - 7 - thought he did well holding the ball up when he came on with a bit of Barnesie shithousery thrown in to boot
Lennon - 6 - did his job

They battled as a team and the crowd have gone with them last two games. Momentum is with us. UTC

Pope 9 - rock solid from England’s best keeper
Roberts 8 - some great last ditch blocks
Collins 9 - one mistake and about twenty top class moments. Happy 21st in advance for next Saturday.
Tarkowski 9 - leadership is immense and if we stay up he will be the main one responsible (of many)
Taylor 8 - got up and down well
McNeil 8 - looks good on the right, could have scored two
Cork 9 - patrolled that area superbly. His win % this season is starting to look silly.
Brownhill 8 - Cork allowed him to run, and he does like to run and harry
Rodriguez 7 - struggled today
Weghorst 8 - really stuck at it despite being surrounded by three centre backs and two holding midfielders
Vydra 8 - as WW
Barnes 7 - did what Ashley does

A great step on the way to the 38 points we have always needed.

They are really good but that pass that set up our good was our one moment of doing it as well as they do. A shout for Jackson, he has a midas touch currently, Lennon for Cornet was the obvious choice but he resisted and went positive. Vydra scored. Brought back Roberts last Thursday. Roberts scored. Long may it continue. When Burnley play positively, the fans respond.

The possession stats really don't lie and this was a hugely different game and performance from Thursday evening. We were out footballed for long periods, but tbf they really didn't make clear chances and we (from memory) made just one and stuck it away! A real Dyche performance tbh which is extremely ironic!
Jackson made a huge call when Cornet wasn't fit and he made an extremely brave one which to me didn't work. Lennon for Cornet was the obvious choice and Vydra was weird and unfortunately hampered us I felt with Jay totally at sea. I'd have changed it at half time, but he stuck with it and fair play to him. I feel we're 2 wins and a draw from safety bizarrely, but with only 5 games to got we've no margin for error. There's clearly amazing resolve and commitment in the squad, despite the season they've had and the attitude of the players may yet (just) see us over the line!!!

Pope 8 - His shot stopping has always been first rate, but his distribution is far better than most gave him credit for.

Roberts 8 - Linking well with Dwight and a couple of excellent last gasp tackles to take the pressure of us in the second half.

Tarkowski 8 - Absolutely immense, he is doing an unbelievable job as leader on that pitch right now.

Collins 8 - Reads the game excellently and his partnership with Tarks is having a real impact for us.

Taylor 7 - Solid, made a couple of good runs second half, but to be fair he had nothing in front of him a lot of the game so his forward pushes were limited.

McNeil 9* - Everytime he got the ball, he looked a real danger. Running at them, finding sublime passes and some brilliant defensive work from the front and back. Hell of a player.

Cork 8 - Not the greatest first half, but second half he was magnificent. Double tackles, winning the ball in crucial areas, showing for it and finding good passes. One of the best halves of football I have seen him have.

Brownhill 8 - A couple of slopping ones early, but really grew into the game. Interceptions, breaking up play and pouncing on the loose balls, was very good again.

Jay 6 - Seemed a bit out of his comfort zone today, never really got into it, but never stopped trying.

Vydra 7 - Extra point for the goal. Thought he struggled the majority of the game, but he is another of those who pop up at the crucial moment and he didn't disappoint today in that regard.

Weghorst 8 - Another who struggled a bit first half, but second half was absolutely immense, his pass to set up Vyds was brilliant, he could have easily just taken it on, but his awareness is excellent. Absolutely never stopped chasing second half and clearly worked out a way to get in behind Wolves.

Barnes 6 - Looked a bit rusty, but did what was needed of him.

Lennon 7 - Good forwards and back, just a couple of times he got into great positions and I wish he had just pulled the trigger.

Overall that was definitely a battle of who wanted it most and our lads clearly did.

Pope 7 didn’t have that much to do, distribution totally different with new management
Roberts 7 another good display, covers a lot of the pitch
Collins 9 amazing again, as usual
Tarks 8 should be in the England squad at least
Taylor 7 good defensive display and got forward more in the second half
McNeil 8 looks great cutting inside from the right
Brownhill 7 good second half
Cork 8 worked his socks off
Jayrod 6 out of position
Vydra 7 took goal well
Weghorst 8 ran the forward line

Barnes 6

Yes he was!

When I get round to doing my ratings later on I’ll be giving Brownhill a 9. His work rate was immense.

If you’re not careful you’ll be filed alongside Newcastleclaret and that’s not a folder anyone wants to be in.

Pope 8 -Looks so calm, and came for a few crosses late on to settle the nerves
Roberts 8 - Back on it
Taylor 8 - some great blocks, and he carried the ball forward when we needed it.
Collins 9 - Imperious
Tarks 9 - Getting boring giving him 9's, a colossus
McNeill 8 - Nearly a 9, just needs a goal I think, back to his free flowing best
Cork 8 - tough day for the midfield 2 but they grew into the game
Brownhill 8 - see cork, plays much better with Cork alongside him.
Vydra 8 - +1 for the goal, still looks a bit rusty which is understandable
Rodriguez 6 - Out of position and looked lost. We got away with it.
Weghorst 8 - Would be a 9 but he missed a few chances, put a massive shift in, good nutmeg assist.

Barnes 8 - Ashley Barnes masterclass, felt a lot more confident when he came on to see the game out, why he got booked is a mystery.
Lennon 7 - Wasted a few good opportunities, but made himself a nuisance.

I would have taken a point at half time, make no mistake, Wolves are a good side. I thought we were second best and the whole "Jay Rod on the left" experiment was like playing with 10 men at times, he just wasn't physically up to it. Second half we dug in and showed our qualities in abundance. Superb goal, and even better defending after that. In fact in the last 15 we looked the more likely to get a second.

Was Ashley Barnes' goal a foul? It looked like the keeper just spilled the loose ball and he poked it in to me?

Superb day, nerves totally shredded, think I'll have a few drinks later, even though it's a Sunday :)

Pope 7
Roberts 8 I thought he was excellent today.
Collins 8 clearly very talented. Thought he was a little sloppy at times but his athleticism made up for it.
Tarks 9 he is a top CB.
Taylor 6 thought Taylor had a quiet game.
McNeil 9 man of the match he was everywhere.
Brownhill 7 much better game today than recently. He was a little sloppy at times but overall he was much better with the ball.
Cork 8 very good performance
Jay 6 thought he struggled
Weghorst 7 some good work but I thought he struggled. Probably would have got a 6 if not for the assist.
Vydra 7 similar to Weghorst. I thought he struggled for the vast majority of the game but stepped up when needed.

We looked pretty tired at times but overall I thought we played some decent stuff. The slight tweaks are making a big difference.

Yes he was!

When I get round to doing my ratings later on I’ll be giving Brownhill a 9. His work rate was immense.

If you’re not careful you’ll be filed alongside Newcastleclaret and that’s not a folder anyone wants to be in.
I have always been fair on Brownhill. When he deserves a good mark he gets it. His four stand out games this season have all been marked that way.

Really? After one defeat you said he wasn't even a footballer. I don't call that fair given he's performing excellently at PL level no less.

What a win. Our ball retention was poor in the first half and Wolves took complete control, without really creating much. Second half was brilliant though with some gigantic performances from Collins, Tarkowski, and Brownhill (whose work rate and energy was just incredible).

I think there’s a fair share. Some fans that give mark him overly high and some that mark him low.

People mocking hunter for giving him a 5 and then marking him a 9 is a bit hypocritical.

He performed well today but certainly was not a man of the match (9 rating performance).

Think you’ll find most people have rated his performance 8/9 so a 5 is quite an anomaly, wouldn’t you think? The stats back up the higher ratings today. As taio said, 87% pass completion, most key passes on the pitch and most distance run.
