Dyche.
Can we not slag Dyche off please. What he has done for this club has been remarkable. God knows where we would have been without him.
It does appear that it was the right time for him to move on, but that doesn't diminish all his achievements.
I'm not enjoying seeing people giving him grief on here, it's totally unjustified and shows a total lack of class.
Thanks to Sean and his team for everything and here's to another successful 10 years under new management...

Oh bore off will you…
He’s done, he’s gone. We have seen over the last three games just how restrictive and limiting his tactics were, and we are now seeing something different. He was good for a time, but that time is gone.
Thanks and all that, but we were doomed with him in charge, and now we aren’t.

Whilst I agree with the sentiment (there is a massive lack of class from some posters) did we really need to reopen the debate again?
Can we merge this with one-off the other dychein/out/tha ks threads?

Re: Dyche.
If you genuinely think that is what those posters are doing, then who am I to deprive you of your illusions?
They have been anti-Dyche for years, and whenever Dyche wins, its nothing to do with him, and whenever Dyche loses, its 100% his fault
All I know is that he was absolutely brilliant for us, but he's gone and we've given ourselves a real chance because we look like a proper team again
That proper team framework is there because of one man, and we all know who that is
But even if its short term, the bounce from him going and the tweaks to the tacitical framework and an innovative use of subs have made a huge difference
As I said on a deleted post, every single Burnley fan should be over the moon tonight because we've given ourselves a real chance, and that is all that matters

Re: Dyche.
Oh come on everyone LEAVE IIIIIITTT. We’ve all had a drink! Absolutely fair play to Sean Dyche and his staff for the last10 yrs. BUT, all good things come to a natural end, and, after a parting of the ways, we have now given ourselves a chance to stay up. The players obviously are the ones who deserve the most credit, but they’ve been given this chance by an about turn of the negative tactics we’ve seen for most of the season, so fair play to Mike Jackson and his staff, who obviously have seen something in our squad that Sean Dyche didn’t/couldn’t, or wasn’t prepared to try. I wasn't one of the Dyche out this season but I allowed people to have their opinion without being abusive towards them.

Re: Dyche.
Let’s have it right. Some of the backlash towards pace has been nothing short of disgraceful, and had we lost all 3 of those games, the fans would have been worse including on here. Now it appears they may be proven wrong, they want to spin it as though it’s Dyche who is being slagged off when in reality it’s the posters. Anyway, onwards and upwards you can see how much the players are enjoying themselves more. Dyche was great for us, and will rightly be remembered as a legend but thank god we have a proactive board willing to make the big calls.

Re: Dyche.
There’s no doubt that there’s been a bounce since Dyche left and we have been much better to watch. After Norwich I thought we were done for.
However, the level of disrespect for one of the best managers we’ve ever had is astounding. People have very short memories. We’re going to go down at some point because we’re Burnley. If it’s not this season then that’s great.
Time to move on now and I desperately hope this board is as successful in hiring a manager as the last one was.

Re: Dyche.
Totally agree with not slating Sean on here who will have legendary status.
If we go down I do view him as responsible due to stifling tactics not getting the best out of the players, however in previous seasons those have worked so on balance he should get praise (lots of it) not criticism. It’ll be one of those things if we drop. A get out of jail free card if we don’t (allowing Sean to really cement that legend status so I hope it for him as well as us).

While I am beyond delighted with the results under our excellent interim manager, and wholeheartedly support him and the team - I still think it was a bad decision to sack Sean Dyche with no apparent plan for a replacement. Seems to me that Mr Pace was wrong, and reckless, to rely on serendipity.

It’s a stark contrasting sudden change of opinion from “pace had nothing to lose” from the man heralded spearheading the promotion charge from the championship with all the proven credentials cited as the reason for not dismissing. It’s good the forms changed but it can change just as quickly back, I think far too many people are running ahead.colne-claret wrote: ↑Sun Apr 24, 2022 10:38 pmWe were going down without a whimper under Dyche. Might not be needed if we manage to stay up this season. Dyche wouldn't have saved us. Long long way to go but looking to be the right decision so far. And on a personal basis for me, I've really looked forward to the last 3 games which is something that hasn't been the case for me for a long long time under the previous regime. I'm really glad to have that fire and passion back which frustratingly I'd been lacking.

He's not wrong though is he. Dyche was great for us for a number of seasons but it was right time to part ways. Regardless of how the last 3 games ended up, his time was up. Change was needed and you can see it was the right decision based on performance and player happiness. They look a different team and far happier. Long may it continue. Thanks Sean, you have been great and good luck in the future.

Re: Dyche.
Of course people will express differing points of views, and it's all well and good, but the problem is when this spills over to persistent trolling. I've seen many a good forum become stale and moribund when this happens. The more interesting user base stop posting, and you get left with the dregs.
There are a handful of people on here who are currently getting their needy kicks from baiting their fellow fans as 'Dyche lovers'. It's all a bit sad, especially when we are talking about adults on a message board.
