Everton.
They are one of the breakaway clubs who forced the Prem League and a protected species.
They need a dose of reality.

Leeds are so arrogant. But not really bothered as long as it’s not BFC. I think we can do this but that old cliche one game at a time has never been truer.
Re: Everton or Leeds.
It has to be Everton. After 70 years, their fanship can deal with a dose of humility.

Re: Everton or Leeds.
As per many others- the main thing is it's one of them with Norwich & Watford rather than us and we shouldn't get too carried away yet that we're safe.
On the OP's choice though- I'd rather Everton went down. I think Leeds will struggle next season in this league as one or two of their best players will leave. Everton would be more of a threat next season IMO - so them having a gap year or two would be better for us.
In terms of who I think will go, its really neck and neck.
Leeds fixtures are really difficult - Arsenal away, Chelsea at home, Brighton home (BHA are top 5/6 away from home) and Brentford (now playing very well) away; not inconceivable they could get no points from those. They do though have 5 points in the bag over Everton.
If Everton lose tomorrow I think they will drop.
Looking at my bookie's odds tonight: they are not taking bets on Watford or Norwich to go down (obviously) but have Everton 4/6, Leeds 9/4 (Clarets 4/1) so clearly Toffees are favourites- though that would change if they get a win tomorrow

Re: Everton or Leeds.
My dislike of Leeds goes back to the 1970s - the focal point being Hunter on Casper. However, I was grudgingly impressed that they didn't play the covid card and as a result of the hammerings they took during that stage of the season sees us with a +19 goal difference over them which will be worth an extra point in the unlikely event that it matters
I really don't care as long as we are above at least one of them but I think Leeds are our natural competitors for the foreseeable - Everton are a decent appointment away from mid-table security - so on that basis Everton to go down

Re: Everton or Leeds.
We need to match Leeds in last 4 games to be safe. They play Arsenal away Chelsea home Brighton home and Brentford away. So no easy points there. Would be hilarious if they went down

Everton, although won't be crying if it's Leeds. Relegation for Everton would see one of the establishment getting a bloody nose and to see how they cope would be entertaining, especially if things go wrong for them in the championship.
As for us, Burnley in the prem still feels like we gatecrashed an expensive party, were never really welcome, but no one is able to roll up their sleeves and kick us out.
Everton's cheating, diving antics against Liverpool last week is another reason why they deserve the drop

Relegation being fought between Everton and Leeds couldn't be bettered really.
Touch wood we aren't dragged back into it, the final few games will be enthralling to watch.

I think Everton will survive now.....thanks to yesterdays farce of a match!
We're still up to our neck in it.

Everton or Leeds. Personally after recent events I hope its Everton instead of of us or in fact Leeds. Simply because Leeds are too big to go down!!!

I think it would do Everton fans a power of good to watch a bit of 2nd tier football.

Re: Everton or Leeds.
Seeing I'm from Skipton, the perfect ending would be Leeds going down. However, being more rational, I think we would be more likely to finish above them than Everton next season. Assuming, of course, that we don't go down.
Re: Everton or Leeds.
Everton for me. Their win against Chelsea and the way Chelsea seemed to go easy on them as a favour to Lampard really deflated me on Sunday. I don't really get the 'we all hate Leeds' thing. I understand for the more mature fans who remember them in the 70's. I know they're a Yorkshire club but I still prefer them to Scousers.

Re: Everton or Leeds.
I think Leeds are in trouble and the bookies certainly think so with Watford then Leeds then Everton then us to go down.
Meaningless, of course, one or two results for any club, barring Watford, could change the whole picture.
Fwiw, BFC are 3/1 to go down. I've lumped a fair bit on that so if we do go down there is some financial compensation to be had if nothing else.
Leeds look the worse off.

Why not Brentford or Southampton? Both could easily get dragged into it with there current form it is mad how it is going.

Re: Everton or Leeds.
It’s possible but points on board already & even allowing our game in hand & assuming 3 it’s another 3 as well & assuming they don’t pick up any more, its possible but it’s a stretch, it’s 3 teams which are in a mess & it’s not them 2 at this point it would have to be very late on anyway for them to get sucked into it.JarrowClaret wrote: ↑Tue May 03, 2022 3:31 pmWhy not Brentford or Southampton? Re: Everton or Leeds.
I have said all along that Burnley should be aiming to overtake Villa, one of the 40 pointers could well slip into it yet. I’m not saying which will be threatened of the pack but I can see one of them falling into the reconning.JarrowClaret wrote: ↑Tue May 03, 2022 3:31 pmWhy not Brentford or Southampton?
