Rangers v Frankfurt
Reports that over 100k Rangers fans are expected in Seville for tomorrow's Europa League final v Frankfurt in a stadium that holds just over 40k in total, Rangers allocation being 9.5k. Shades of the final of 2008 in Manchester possible here, described as the worst night of violence and destruction since the blitz......

Good luck to the Seville police force and hope that something is still standing in their city once the Rangers fans have departed.

Sevilla is a local derby for us here in Malaga: because it is relatively close, I know that there are plenty of coaches leaving this part of the Costa del Sol today to go up to Sevilla, loads of ex-pat jocks and their mates want to be there for the experience.

Have no time for either Glasgow club because of the stupid sectarianism ******** they are infested with
But would hope both do well in Europe and I've seen Rangers a few times on this run this season and they 100% deserve to be there
And don't forget Super Scotty Arfield plays for them

Re: Rangers v Frankfurt
Frankfurt fans have a badly behaved element. Some of them attacked Hammers fans after the semi final away leg I recall & riot police had to use water cannon to help control them.
Frankfurt reportedly took 30,000 fans to Barcelona for their game there in this competition, amazing that they'll be outnumbered at this one.

The Rangers support has a strong element of alcoholics and junkies. They will destroy Seville.

I remember these two clubs playing each other in the semi final of the European Cup in 1960. Frankfurt won 6-1 at home and 6-3 in Glasgow. Pretty convincing.
Re: Rangers v Frankfurt
Frankfurt will be taking huge numbers as well. Too much sun and beer is never a good combination for Brits.

English fans always seem to get a doing from Sevilla police when drawn there. This could get interesting.
English clubs could be banned from European competition for 10 years if there is any bother.

Re: Rangers v Frankfurt
Let's give all the traveling Rangers fans an immediate life ban from attending football as they have already been found guilty of causing trouble before the game has even been played.

I was at that final in Manchester, I was in and around Manchester during the day and that was bad enough but after the game I've never seen anything like itHerts Clarets wrote: ↑Tue May 17, 2022 12:58 pmReports that over 100k Rangers fans are expected in Seville for tomorrow's Europa League final v Frankfurt in a stadium that holds just over 40k in total, Rangers allocation being 9.5k. I don't think anything's happened yet but if you're unaware of the mass damage and mess they made of Manchester in the relatively recent past then take a look at the link below:

Re: Rangers v Frankfurt
Only saving grace may be the prevalence of the drug spice in recent years. A lot of the vermin Rangers fans are hooked on this stuff and it turns them into zombies, eventually they collapse in a heap on the pavement. Plus they won't have access to their Buckfast which sends them crazy. They recently threw broken glass onto Joe Hart's goalmouth at half time in the recent old firm match.
Re: Rangers v Frankfurt
Are you aware of the damage caused in numerous towns and cities by various rag bag bunches of people demonstrating against anything they take a dislike to . Just a sign of modern times unfortunately.Rowls wrote: ↑Tue May 17, 2022 3:16 pmI don't think anything's happened yet but if you're unaware of the mass damage and mess they made of Manchester in the relatively recent past then take a look at the link below:

Re: Rangers v Frankfurt
Passed through Manchester airport yesterday and there was a large, advance party or Gers en-route to Spain via Brussels. Spoke to one guy who told me that it was one available option as all the normal routes had been fully booked since the semi. Lots of people going without tickets just for the atmosphere. God help Seville.

No. I'm not aware of towns being regularly trashed so badly that the local mayor calls it "the worst damage to *insert town* since the Blitz".
If this is happening to towns up and down the country on a regular basis then it's passed me by and I've been fortunate to avoid these places, despite following Burnley up and down the country in all four divisions for 30-40 years now.
Maybe I've just been very, very, verrrrry lucky to avoid this apparently regular occurance in British town centres?

Re: Rangers v Frankfurt
My wife's on a long week end to the Costa Del Sol around the Benalmedina area and she text me earlier this afternoon to say the resort is crawling with Rangers fans. I can remember being on a training course in Manchester in 2008 when they were in the UEFA Final. To say there behaviour was disgraceful is an understatement. Lets hope history doesn't repeat itself.
Re: Rangers v Frankfurt
What about Bristol and the "Kill the Bill" protest.Attempted murder of police officers, violent attacks on emergencies services, arson attacks on a police station etc etc etc. Similar demonstrations in Manchester, London , Glasgow and other cities. Then we move on to BLM you could go on forever about the violent acts that were perpetrated.Rowls wrote: ↑Tue May 17, 2022 4:19 pmNo. I'm not aware of towns being regularly trashed so badly that the local mayor calls it "the worst damage to *insert town* since the Blitz".

I was over for the game in Manchester as my wife lived there at the time for uni. I had to guide some normal Rangers back towards the stadium from outside Corn Exchange via the back streets to avoid what was happening in Market Street.
Spoke to a friend in Benidorm earlier and said it already mobbed with Rangers

Loads at Gatwick yesterday playing football in the Terminal with beach balls , I did point out to a couple of them that Seville was landlocked but he couldn’t quite comprehend that .
Re: Rangers v Frankfurt
Hope the build up and post match pass off without too much trouble. One thing is for sure though, those cowardly Frankfurt Ultras who outnumbered and attacked Hammers fans will be pretty shy amongst these Rangers lads.

Was unfortunate to be working in Manchester the time they got to the final. Certainly feel sorry for the residents of Seville.
Re: Rangers v Frankfurt
Some appalling, pseudo racist comments on here, to say the least.
Glasgow Rangers fans are there for the glory of seeing their team reach a Euro final, against all odds.
Good luck to them. They will have fun.
I would hope the Germans will do the same and that the EF fans are not like those of Hannover at Turf Moor.
The one sure thing is that the Scots will not retreat, if attacked.

Re: Rangers v Frankfurt
I live in Manilva Spain & have a 4 rangers fans stopping in a rental down the road, got here Sunday night & so far they have not been sober, fallen out with each other in the port with punches thrown, vomited on a table with one having to be helped into the back of a pick up by some plasterers because he had shat himself. They were asking where they could get a bus to Saville which is a bit daft with 24 hours to go. I’ve a feeling they are going to get to know the Gurdia before they leave & they won’t like that……
