Gerrard just referred to Buendia as a "Warrior and a fighter".

Is that supposed to be ironic? Gerrard doesn't strike me as someone with the intelligence to do irony.

You had to love the bit where he’s helping Roberts up as if to say get up you’re feigning it when he was doing it himself all night. Two faced so and so. Can’t abide those type of players and glad we have none of them.

Seemed to be the only player in a Villa shirt who was penalised for his challenges. In fact, he fouls Tarkowski in the box before he trips Cornet.

Good player though and was very canny for the goal.

I was amazed that wasn't commented on by the Sky team. It was a penalty twice. Bit of a rush of blood to the head....

He’s a good player, I wouldn’t say he was outstanding. He’s only just starting to get regular first team football at Villa and, while he has talent, seems to get involved in situations like the penalty.
