Plan A: Sell all our assets to feed the 65 million debt.

Plan B:?????????
I for one can't help feeling you are correct in your assumption.

I see Wout has become the new scapegoat...
Seeing ss the interim manager didn't start him in s must win game it's hardly surprising.

I think he's Jelle Vossen in disguise

Never see a transformation in a player like it… world beater against Spurs, then could not interact at all ever after. Just don’t get that at all.

Yeah he's been poor other than a couple of early games. Slow. Can't head it. Muscled off the ball. Layoffs often fall short. The pressing in this league just nullifies any threat he may have. He may have a release clause but no-one will take it up

I struggle to see any prem club being interested. Weghorst is your standard Turkish loan signing, expensive wages that people want of the books.

Oh. Add doesn't score either. In fact has had a worse return than Chris Wood this season

It might have something to do with the team changing around him. In his first games he was on the left with Jay next to him and Mc Neill out on the left wing. That seemed to work well. After that we have seen changes all over the place, Jay on the right, Cornet next to him ( which really doesn't work ), Vydra starting fro a spell, Mc Neill wide right, formation changes and all manner of randomly drawn bingo ball tactics.

Poor bloke probably doesn't know which end is up and whether he is coming or going. I think he is a good player, a bit slow by PL standards and his awful heading came as a surprise to me, but he has plenty to offer us. The problem is that our tactical department or the people in our tw*t cave ( sorry bat cave ) don't seem to have a clue what they are doing.

Pace and Co have a plan, it is a very good plan, so good that they can't possibly tell us what the plan is. However, if we did know about the plan then we would all see what a good plan it is, because nobody would hide a bad plan or disguise the absence of any plan, they would only hide a good plan.

I just hope our stalwarts in Roberts, Collins, Mee and Taylor stay as our back four. Brownhill will have a breakout and Wout will be our own Mitrovic. Cornet will continue to score worldies and McNeill will stand out in the mediocrity.

Or

We sell/release all of them and fill the squad with Scotty Arfield style signings and continue putting 2 keepers on the bench to cover our lack of depth again.

Selling everything we've built up over the last 9 years to pay for some Americans debts.... sad
Is there a reason you mention someone’s national origin in a derogatory way?

Wouldn’t your post have been much better as “selling everything we’ve built up” etc etc without the bigoted referral to where a person is from?

I thought the mods were all over this type of stuff?

On this same post you can see one poster call someone a dick but you decide to call out the person that used the word American in a slightly derogatory tone. Some people will not have anything said against ALK at all.

You've gotta be a very special kind of optimist to think much of this side will remain. It'll be those that nobody else wants, or on prohibitive wages that'll be kept.

If anyone was running a book on the timing of our first default on wages I'd be tempted to dip my toes in.

We are miles away from a wages default. Do some
research.

We are indeed helm.

But we're travelling down that road at a rate of knots.

Weghorst- wasn’t there something about his covid status that put many clubs off?

Possibly but kinda interesting that most of Europe including the UK are slowly starting to not care about vaccine status.

PSV were linked with him recently I think.

A few Scotty Arfield style signings would be ideal, and there is a number of decent free agents available, as ever our problem will be wages.

Because they are American, I couldn't care less where they are from, it wasn't a knock at them for being American, it was used to highlight how sad this situation is that we're gonna need to sell everything we've built up over 9 years of success, to pay for a new foreign owner who's been here 2 mins.
