That one would be a bit left field, not sure what to make of it. Certainly has the experience box ticked and experience around both the main seat and what is needed from his assistants…

Every single player I’ve heard on a podcast describes him as a terrible man manager and manager all-round, no thank you.

Doesn’t fit the mould and wouldn’t be a progressive appointment, plus no experience of being the main man. Maybe one for rovers?

I’m terribly sorry as a grown man for using the term wet spam, for all those out there offended by it I shall In future refer to them as them as the 1966 World Cup winners.

Stuart Pearce as manager would fill with as much confidence as Chris Pearce in goal

Hell no. Talk about putting the boot in when we are down. Think it would kill off the hopes of even the most optimistic of us.
Re: Pearce to Burnley ?
Would be a great appointment as an assistant provided he also brought David Moyes as the Head Coach.

No, no and no again, we don't want that thug anywhere near our club, have we all forgotten his horror tackle on David Hamilton.
And he's hardly blazed a trail in management either, plus he's now in his 60's.
Surely to goodness we can do better than Pearce, if not then things really are bad.

Re: Pearce to Burnley ?
I’m asking myself who would Pearce join at Burnley (or elsewhere)? - I see him as an experienced sidekick for someone (not that that narrows it down, he’s worked with a lot). Moyes may well have another option planned for his role at WH and given it is suggested we have our target ready; it could be that its a supplemental appointment that awaits Pearce.tiger76 wrote: ↑Mon May 23, 2022 7:07 pmNo, no and no again, we don't want that thug anywhere near our club, have we all forgotten his horror tackle on David Hamilton.

Trying to think if he was a coach at City with Kompany; but he’ll have coached a hell of a lot of others as England U21 coach… City manager and other backrooms.

Re: Pearce to Burnley ?
I have heard numerous players mention when he was their manager, on various podcasts, and they all came to the same conclusion that he was weak and had poor man management, often got bullied by the players. Surprising when you think of the type of player he was.

Be interesting how many of those who call Brian Laws are the one’s saying get over the mess Coyle left us in.

Re: Pearce to Burnley ?
Laws was on a hiding to nothing, same as Moyes at United. He made some awful signings but the good one he made more than balanced that. How would you manage a team, motivate them when half of them knowing they were following Coyle in the summer? He had to hit the ground running in the worst circumstances and effectively cobble a team together from the shattered remnants with a club expecting a charge back to the Premier

Laws had a few periods of success in his management.
