Always been surprised Cork doesn't score more, dunno if he was limited by the manager in the runs allowed into the box but he has that sweet timing of arrival in his locker and can header a ball.

Scored at a better rate for us than for Southampton or Swansea so you'd be hard pressed to blame that on Dyche.

And that's just in his second spell, his 3 in 40 in 2010/11 was his best every goalscoring season.

wasn't a dig at Dyche, just an observation of the role maybe Cork was asked to play. When you see the goal he scored at Watford, it's surprising he doesn't get more.

I think Vydra would've been really effective for us behind a proven goalscorer with pace/mobility, like Ings/Vydra. Vydra cant hit a cows arse with a banjo but he certainly makes things happen in the final 3rd.

Vydra would be a very good option in the Championship. He’d score, and importantly help create, plenty. Shame he’s out until the new year and is yet to sign a new contract though…

Incidentally, one of our best ever performances under Dyche at home against Bournemouth he played a bit deeper more like a 10 (4-2-3-1) setup and we won 4-0, only to be dropped after an average 60 mins against Cardiff away the next game…

I see Vydra as more of an attacking midfielder, like he was at Derby not an out and out striker.

We've kicked the can down the road for years now and unfortunately the squad now needs major surgery We should have signed one or two younger players each window and brought them through carefully but we've little choice now but to hope it all works out

Think if it is us it must be for his versatility. Given the other CB signings we are supposedly about to make I would guess at him being signed to play RB. He came on in this position for Man City in a game towards the end of the season. It was only a short cameo at the end of the game but he appeared to be very composed and I thought at the time he looked a talent.

Look I think it’s highly likely tbh. But I’m more than happy with the quality we are after as replacements. If it means bringing in 30m for Collins which allows for 1. Paying some debts 2. More signings like these im all for it.

There isn’t a single one of these City prospects I’d want in the team next year over Collins.

If we sign a load of 19 yo’s for CB I think we’ll struggle to go up, however many decent attacking players we sign.

We certainly will need a 20+ striker, and with the greatest will in the world none of of Barnes, Jay or Vydra will hit that number, Cornet might but I expect him to leave, as will Weghorst in all likelihood.

However strikers that can net 20+ a season cost big bucks generally..
