Re: Alan White RIP
Just saw this yesterday and was sad to read of his passing.
Saw him performaing with various outfits back in the 1960s and he has certainly 'done a bit' during his long time in the business.
RIP Alan and thanks for all the memories.

Re: Alan White RIP
R.I.P
Loved Yes, back in the day.
First time I saw White on drums was '77 at Empire Pool, Wembley for the Going For The One tour.
Wakeman had joined them again.
My first solo trip to London.
Great memories.

Re: Alan White RIP
I’ve met Alan many times over the years
He would come in the Scotland Yard a bar in the San Fernando valley LA owned by former band member of Marmalade Pat Fairly who is also no longer with us. Pat was the Stage manager for Yes for a number of years and had a few gold discs from Yes hung in his bar
RIP Alan

Re: Alan White RIP
Sad to hear the passing of Alan White. Think i'm right in saying he replaced Bill Bruford in Yes. Alan was some drummer, testimony that Ginger Baker chose him to play in his band Airforce. RIP Alan White.

Re: Alan White RIP
Rhetorical question asked to self. How come I didn't end up in California? It's fricking May and I'm still sitting in the house with me coat on because the Mrs has turned the central heating off. I just hope we get East Lancashire summer temperatures that manages double digits.California Colner wrote: ↑Fri May 27, 2022 4:01 pmI’ve met Alan many times over the years

RIP, Alan White. A great drummer. I saw him drum for Yes twice in 1975 - at Preston Guild Hall and the Victoria Ground.
