Could have chosen several of there's, but opted for that one.

I've heard of every artist and song that was suggested before your somewhat grumpy post.
If you find some suggestions obscure, try seeking them out and giving them a listen. You might just stumble onto something you quite like.

It's going to be tricky to know if an artist has already been mentioned as this thread gets longer. I suppose the search box might help.
As I'm a bit of a rebel I'm going to try one song with many artists!
Mr Soul.
Buffalo Springfield
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3V8VvEzuQ6Y
Neil Young
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TXykWbGf-ic
Iain Matthews
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jYQStgOIaNY
Metallica with Neil Young
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uiRzGoplTLc
Widespread Panic (who?) - they seem to have Bob Hite on six string bass and Elton John on drums! Not sure about the piano though.

Well done for being so musically well rounded.JohnMcGreal wrote: ↑Wed Jun 08, 2022 4:54 pmI've heard of every artist and song that was suggested before your somewhat grumpy post.

And I’m not really grumpy, just a little disappointed yet again that a music thread that COULD be so good (and so helpful) gets an artist like The Beatles used up early with “octopuses garden”
As I mentioned later in the thread to Lancaster, I’ll take a listen to some of the stuff I don’t recognise.

Sunday Morning Coming Down
Kris Kristofferson
https://youtu.be/vbqGWTxwZEA
Masterpiece!
Well, I woke up Sunday morning
With no way to hold my head that didn't hurt
And the beer I had for breakfast wasn't bad
So I had one more for dessert
Then I fumbled through my closet for my clothes
And found my cleanest dirty shirt
And I washed my face and combed my hair
And stumbled down the stairs to meet the day
I'd smoked my brain the night before
On cigarettes and songs that I'd been pickin'
But I lit my first and watched a small kid
Cussin' at a can that he was kicking
Then I crossed the empty street
And caught the Sunday smell of someone fryin' chicken
And it took me back to somethin'
That I'd lost somehow, somewhere along the way
On the Sunday morning sidewalk
Wishing, Lord, that I was stoned
'Cause there's something in a Sunday
Makes a body feel alone
There ain't nothin' short of dyin'
Half as lonesome as the sound
On the sleepin' city sidewalks
Sunday mornin' comin' down
In the park I saw a daddy
With a laughin' little girl who he was swingin'
And I stopped beside a Sunday school
Listened to the song they were singin'
Then I headed back for home
And somewhere far away a lonesome bell was ringin'
And it echoed through the canyons
Like the disappearing dreams of yesterday
On the Sunday morning sidewalk
Wishing, Lord, that I was stoned
'Cause there's something in a Sunday
Makes a body feel alone
There ain't nothin' short of dyin'
Half as lonesome as the sound

What is so difficult about ONE artist, ONE song?
So many great acts chosen in multi-format with dreadful, IMO tracks.
After that I hope I haven’t missed Prince.. Most beautiful girl in the world

What is the point. We've already had 3 Beatles tracks, 3 Springsteen and 2 Bowie. Is it really that difficult?
