Gobsmacked a company trading in football shirts turned over £18.2m last year. Think I'll dig mine out of the loft!CoolClaret wrote: ↑Thu Jul 14, 2022 1:01 pmCan’t see much sponsorship money coming from that - I’ll be gobsmacked if true

Re: New Kit
First thing my son said is Minecraft Shirt and he loves it! I do too, reminds me of one of my favourite times in BFC history.
The Collab with Classic Football Shirts is a clever one.. Possibly they will sell the kit worldwide increasing shirt sales.
And for those saying they won't be able to pay much for sponsorship. They moved to new state of the art 4.5m premises in 2020, 25 percent increase in Turnover of 15m in 2021.

Much bigger company than people think and Burnley already have a relationship with them.bfcfan1882 wrote: ↑Thu Jul 14, 2022 1:22 pmGobsmacked a company trading in football shirts turned over £18.2m last year. Think I'll dig mine out of the loft!
We sell our left over kits and training gear to them at the end of every season.

Re: New Kit
Classic Football Shirts are worth checking out btw. As well as original old 'classics' for big money, they sell off leftover stock from clubs for peanuts. Burnley have used them for a while to shift clearance stuff. A bit back I kitted out my nephew in season old Burnley gear for next to nothing. A quid for socks, 2 quid shorts, £3 shirts etc etc

They may turn over £18m but I’d be amazed if they could afford to sponsor a top end Championship club.

Re: New Kit
I like it, a break from the traditional which is in line with the direction the club is travelling. It will clearly upset some people but at least it's not blue and white halves
Re: New Kit
The market for retro football shirts is huge.
I’ve dabbled in the last 5 years or so and I sold around 10 shirts recently for a big mark up.
Sponsorship may be bigger than we think.

Re: New Kit
Say there turnover is double the reported £18m, that's £36m.
Say they have a very healthy net profit margin of 30% - that's a profit of £10m. Even a 10% investment of that, which would be sky high on a 1 off marketing deal would only yield £1m.

Yeah - the shirt could be real but hard to imagine they are the sponsors. That is a kind of League One deal at best.dandeclaret wrote: ↑Thu Jul 14, 2022 1:57 pmSay there turnover is double the reported £18m, that's £36m.

It could be part of a worldwide merchandising deal. Also suggestion above that away shirt has different sponsor.forzagranata wrote: ↑Thu Jul 14, 2022 2:01 pmYeah - the shirt could be real but hard to imagine they are the sponsors. That is a kind of League One deal at best.

Re: New Kit
I know what you’re saying but usually with kits they celebrate the “season” it occurred not the year, the 2009-10 shirt for the 50th of the 1959-60 Championshipjedi_master wrote: ↑Thu Jul 14, 2022 1:06 pmWell, yes from the start of the season, but its 30 years since the actual title win in 1992 was my point. The club could easily market it in that fashion.

Re: New Kit
There is probably being an internal investigation being opened now to find the leak of the source..
Whilst it's always appealing to see a leaked shirt, I bet its very frustrating for the club.

Re: New Kit
Firstly, I think it’s dreadful but I’m older and do prefer a more traditional shirt. I just can’t grasp how anyone could like that mess.
Someone mentioned a different sponsor for the away kit. That’s something I heard a while ago although I’d no idea who either of the sponsors are.

Thought we'd be getting a more well known sponsor with all our owners supposed "business acumen".

If it’s the real mccoy, I love it. Looks like a promotion shirt if ever I saw one.
Great colouring, like the neck and really pleased with the sponsor. No betting company. I thoroughly disliked the sleeves on last seasons shirt.

I think I'm with you Tony, I think I like it as a shirt that you could buy in the club shop, but I prefer a more traditional shirt for the first team.ClaretTony wrote: ↑Thu Jul 14, 2022 2:43 pmFirstly, I think it’s dreadful but I’m older and do prefer a more traditional shirt. Maybe theres a market to have a different kit for the women's team?
