Re: New Kit
The shirts which have been leaked, if real, look a small size perhaps for kids? Then the adult version will have a different 18+ sponsor?
Re: New Kit
I’m not sure Alan is particularly averse to gambling.
He’s certainly gambling with our future as it is.

That’s a good point and would make sense - but they look adult sized to me.claretburns wrote: ↑Thu Jul 14, 2022 7:04 pmThe shirts which have been leaked, if real, look a small size perhaps for kids? Then the adult version will have a different 18+ sponsor?

Re: New Kit
Cant get any enthusiasm up for this shirt other than the no gambling sponsor angle, but then ive only bought 4 strips from the last 6 years and 2 of them where the away strips, wont be buying this home strip.

Re: New Kit
They've probably cottoned on to the popularity of the old birdsh1t shirt and attempted to revisit that one. I was only a kid at the time but I remember first impressions weren't great amongst everyone back then. This seems to be slightly more popular but for me I thought it was a joke when I first saw it, but the more times you look, with better images, it grows on you a bit. Be good to see it in person to judge it properly

Re: New Kit
I hope your mate enjoyed working there more than me. Got two weeks work at Cloverbook one Summer. First morning I was greeted by a supervisor who was immediately asked if he knew there had been another accident. He said he did know, it was on the front page of that days Burnley Express. "Oh no, not that one boss' suchandsuch got covered in caustic soda last night"Jimmymaccer wrote: ↑Thu Jul 14, 2022 10:22 pmA friend worked for cloverbrook who manufactured the material back in 1992……..before that Ribero shirt came out he said wait till you see it……….it’s plum not Claret………..and he was right.
Place was a living hell in my very brief experience. I broke my thumb whilst trying to complete an almost impossible job on the third day which meant I wasn't obligated to do another 7. I've rarely felt so relieved.

If the away one is the same as Bourbemouths home but yellow and black that could be a cracker.

Takes me back to my days in retail when a young lad and his mum came in and asked for COD which I now know is short for a well known computer game, he was not impressed with my response of “The fresh fish counter is now closed but we do pre packed fish at the bottom of the produce aisle”CharlieinNewMexico wrote: ↑Fri Jul 15, 2022 7:17 amliterally had to ask my girlfriend “what is Minecraft, some kind of design app?”

I reckon that’s the kit just with a different sponsor
Re: New Kit
This was posted on Instagram - maybe it is the women’s shirt sponsor? Don’t they have a deal with TikTok?

Underwhelmed. Good to see the betting people are off the shirt. I was thinking of buying the next one without a betting company on, but unless a local disco opens, will wait.

Re: New Kit
I reckon you'll be right.
I know classic football shirts are a popular trend but I doubt they have the wedge to throw at a championship sponsorship, so womens kit sponsor would make sense tbh.
Given the drop off in valuation I doubt The Hut group are likely either now, sadly.
We may well still end up with a betting sponsor for the mens kit.

Re: New Kit
THG are still a £1bn market cap company (well, not quite actually). £2.7bn t/o this year. They were going to sponsor United’s training kit for £20m I think, but pulled out over the Super League scandal. I reckon they could squeeze a million out for sponsorship, particularly in the Championship? I assume Championship clubs don’t get any more than that?ŽižkovClaret wrote: ↑Fri Jul 15, 2022 9:16 amI reckon you'll be right.

The point about the away kit being a different sponsor is interesting. That would be rare, so maybe Classic are sponsoring the womens kits as you’d imagine that’s more in their sponsorship bracket? Plus the TikTok launch ties in…

Re: New Kit
There is something fitting about the club being sponsored by a firm which makes its money from selling off Premier League products at a bargain price....

This could work.
I got my mother to knit me the 'Tirpitz Scarf', a design based on the WW2 German battleship Tirpitz in Norway. It works!. When I wear it no-one has ever come up to me and said I look like the German battleship Tirpitz.

I asked someone down at the club today if they know when the new kit is announced. They said it was leaked yesterday. Confirmed that it's real.
Only word of mouth, mind. But they did work for the club.

Gutted. If it IS real, I’ll be going nowhere near the club shop.
Absolutely minging. We’ve had some shockers in the past, we’ve had some that were groundbreaking, and we’ve had some that were quite boring, but I don’t remember one as bad as this.

Have to say I'm undecided, fine line between quirky and awful.
Got a feeling it might look better when being worn full kit on the official release.

You’re only ever going to wear it whilst surrounded by thousands of others wearing it so I wouldn’t worry too much

Re: New Kit
It looks like something you would expect Scunthorpe to be wearing in the Conference this season.. Cheap and tacky.
The sponsor, the yucky broken tetris design.
Even the Blue colour looks more like Scunthorpe.
Thankfully we only wear kits for one season these days, only 12 months to go..

Chris Boden did a poll on twitter for the kit, who’s in favour and not, 1000 votes now in and 71% in favour

One would imagine that the kit is more popular amongst the younger fans and that the proportion of our fans who use Twitter are in that category.
